Disparity

This poem conveys two different worlds fell in love each other, however, something caused a significant change to the situation because of indifferences in culture and tradition.
I know it’s hard to be the two of us
We keep on hiding since we’re against all odds
Our love is sincere but we are not free
Because of the racial disparity

It’s sad to know the way they think of me
They thought I’m way far from their philosophy
For the reason that I’m not one of their kind
And I Cannot live out their way of life

I know I’m nothing like what they hope for
Neither the person they would want and adore
But if they’ll give me chance to enter the door
I’ll prove them wrong because I can do more!

I love you therefore, I’m willing to do
Whatever it takes for me to go through
The walls they built between me and you
Because you’ve shown me love that’s pure and true!
