Disillusioned

So you came to me,
And different you claimed to be.

I was overwhelmed to say the least,
But little did I uncover the beast.

Time has its way of showing us things,
Which otherwise the thoughts would not ring.

Every experience, even if not great,
Makes one wiser to live better the next date.
