Dish Antenna Installation
Crystal clear picture and a good reception is what characterizes a dish facilitated TV. But for that, you need dish antenna. This setup is compact and gives a complete TV experience. Scroll down if you need more information on its installation.

How to Install Dish Antenna
Supplies
Complete satellite system, RG6 coax cable, satellite signal meter(optional), compass, 6" magnetic level, 7/16" wrench, drill, 1/2" nut driver drill bit, six 2" lag bolts, zip ties or black tape and staples or screw clips.
Method
- Decide upon the location of the TV antenna in the direction corresponding to the specific area you are in. If you are confused, take a look at the direction of the nearby dish antennas. Now, bolt the mast down in solid, strong foundation. Do not forget to use a level and let the mast plumb be in all directions. This is a very important step necessary for setup.
- Now, for making sure that the mast is plumb, tighten all the bolts on the mast. After that, set the antenna on the mast but do not fix the screws as yet.
- Get your coax cable through the dish and then get it out at the end from the spot where there is low noise block down converter feedhorn (LNBF).
- Assemble the lnbf to the dish after connecting the cable to the lnbf using the screws. For correct skew and elevation settings for your area, check out your installation guide.
- The meter then has to be connected with the other end of the coax cable. Follow this up by turning your meter and sweeping your dish both left and right, approximately in the direction your neighbor's antenna points to. Here when it detects a satellite, your meter would indicate that.
- By now you have got the idea that which position of the antenna catches the strongest signal and you can adjust it and fix all the bolts on the dish. There you are more than half done with regards to your dish network satellite TV.
- Check whether the vertical adjustment is proper as against the horizontal adjustment, which needs to be perfect. For just about adequately free up-down rotation of the antenna reflector, loosen the elevation screws.
- Again, till you come across the maximum signal reading on the meter, keep moving the reflector gradually. Follow this up with tightening of the bolts while keeping the signal as strong as possible.
- Run the coax cable through, from the dish to the receiver. For better setup and design, it is good to use the zip ties and screw clips for attaching the cable to the mast.
- For getting the coax cable in the house, use a drill bit for drilling through the wall. After that connect the receiver with the cable. Typically the port would have an indication- 'in from satellite'.
- After connecting the receiver to the TV, plug it in. From here on, check out the installation manual where you would further get answers. Finally, run the requisite tests and you are done.
