Disaster - Chapter Seven
Sorry this chapter is a little short and for the delay. I hope you all enjoy it!
"Marc, what should I get her? It's New Year's Eve and New Year is twelve minutes away. I didn't even have the money to get her anything for Christmas."
"Stop panicking, Peter." He said getting his bag and handed me twenty dollars. "Go buy her something. Anything."
"Marc, I can't take that."
"Yes you can! Remember when I asked to borrow your money! I still owe you! So take it."
"You only owed me fifteen dollars though." I pulled up in front of his house and stopped the car, putting it in park.
"Keep the change." He said picking up his work uniform, bag, and then got out of the car. He gave me a wave as he shut the door and ran to the front of his house to unlock his door.
I picked up my phone and dialed Erica, one of my other workmates. "Hello?"
"Erica, I'm glad you answered. What should I get my girlfriend for New Year's?"
"Flowers?"
"Yeah, but I didn't get her anything for Christmas."
"Peter, you bought her a house. If that's not a present, then nothing is."
"Okay, you're right. What type of flowers then?"
"Any. Anything you find she'd love."
"Alright well thanks. Where are you right now?"
"Work, why?"
"Why are you working?"
"I don't have anywhere to go tonight. My house is locked and I need to go to the locksmith tomorrow so I can get another key."
"I'm going to pick you up after I get these flowers for Farrah."
"No, Peter, you shouldn't."
"Yes, I should. I'll be there in a little bit. Bye." I hung up before she could argue anymore. She hated when people did nice things for her, so she always resisted.
I pulled out of his drive way and drove to Marcy's, and once I was in the store, it felt like desert land. Not one person was there and only one person was at the front desk. She was snapping her bubble gum, and listened to something on her iPod headphones.. She looked up at me, and then looked back down at her phone. I went over to where the flowers were. "You don't have a place to be tonight?"
She looked over at me, pulling out an earphone and said. "Yeah, I do. I just rather be workin'."
"Why would that be?"
"Not your business." She snapped back and put back in the earphone.
I picked up a bouquet of many flowers and walked over to her to put it on the counter in front of her.
This time she didn't look at me, and rang up the flowers. "Five-fifty-seven." I pulled out the twenty and gave it to her. She gave me change. As I began to leave she said, "Hey, take this." She threw a ring at me.
"What's this for?"
She laughed. "For caring. You don't have to propose to your girlfriend-"
"How do you know I'm buying these for my girlfriend?"
"Lucky guess." She said putting back in her ear phones.

_Farrah's P.O.V_
I was sitting in my rocking chair and turned on the TV to the New Year's Eve Countdown. 'Ten minutes' I thought. 'Peter won't make it. I felt a sudden urge and ran to the bathroom. I was on my knees for five minutes or so. I remembered how Peter's hands felt on my back when I was like this. How close he was to me and how I could feel his breath.
I got up and sat back down again. I looked at my cell phone to see one text message.
'Hai Farrah. Just wishing you a Happy New Year's. I'll b able 2 come over 2morrow nd I finally have found a boyfriend. :) He's amazing. Hope ur doin ok! xoxo - Anna.'
I smiled as I put my phone on the table. I held onto my stomach as more pains came over. "Okay you can stop kicking me now, baby." I noticed that music was playing on the TV, and the baby was actually kicking along with the music. I smiled as I laid back and watched the clock tick down and then I passed out.

_Peter's P.O.V_
I entered the house, just in time for New Year's. "Happy New Year!" I yelled as I entered the house. I looked around and saw the TV was off, and she wasn't in her chair. "Farrah?" I said running into the kitchen, then into her room. I found a note next to her chair that read.
'Dear Peter, Farrah is now at your local hospital, please visit once you read this note for further information.'
I was about to leave the house, but I saw blood on the floor. Instead of jogging to the car, I ran. I knew something was going wrong and I needed to find out.
