Direct TV Internet: Is Direct TV Internet a Good Broadband Choice?
Most of us know how good Direct TV television programming is, but how does their broadband Internet service stack up? Let's take a look.
All high-speed internet services are alike, right? I used to think so. Then my needs outgrew my current service and it was time to shop around. Whew! Was I ever overwhelmed by the choices available. If you believe all the hype, every single service out there offers the best service and price above all the others.
So, what drew me to Direct TV Internet? First, they are a company I trust, having used their satellite system for my TV viewing pleasure for over five years, I knew I could depend on them to keep me online through any weather conditions and other system problems. I use my computer for work, so it’s very important to me to have reliable service from a company with a good track record.
Next, I looked at service options. Although some of my local DSL and cable companies offered a variety of options. Direct TV seemed to offer the most comprehensive package, and boy is it fast! NO more waiting minutes to download software, video clips and my favorite music. With Direct TV Broadband High-Speed Internet Service I can download a song in less than 2 seconds! With teenagers in the house, that has been a vast improvement, freeing up the computer for other things faster than ever.
Finally, I looked at price. Compared to the other services available, Direct TV Internet was very reasonable, and with the loads of rebates and special offers I found online before ordering, I couldn’t have hoped for a better deal from anyone else.
You may have heard a lot about the benefits of using DSL or cable Internet services, but let me tell you first-hand, nothing beats the speed and dependability of broadband satellite service. I can honestly say that I haven’t lost my Internet access in the entire year I’ve been using the service. That is not something I could say about my last service provider!
Plus, they offer loads of other benefits including spyware and anti-virus software; enough email addresses for the entire family; instant online access all of the time; free spam filtering; and more depending on the grade of service you order and where you live.
So, can anyone sign up for Direct TV Internet? Yes. It’s available to every community in the United States, as long as you have direct access to the southern sky, which usually isn’t a problem.
If you’re like me and need speed, reliability and a great price, try Direct TV Internet. You won’t regret making the switch – I haven’t.
