The wording for formal parties should be formal and it is also important to spell out the date and time, rather than just writing them in the form of numbers. For instance, instead of writing, '6.00', it is necessary to write 'six o'clock' in the evening. The same goes with the date where one has to write 'the twenty first of February' rather than Feb 21. However, with informal and casual invitation wordings, there is no need to follow any strict guidelines. One can also use abbreviations for words which is completely denied in case of formal invitation wordings.
