Different Uses for Fruits

Fruits are an interesting breed. They show up everywhere in some shape or form. When I think of fruits, many products come to mind. Here are some examples of where you may find fruits these days.
Do you ever take a bit of a fruit, such as an apple, and wonder what other uses it has in life? Probably not, but if you look around, fruits are being used everywhere. In this article I will cite many examples of where fruits are being used in products around the globe.

I just took a shower. I used a shampoo with peach extract and my hair smells of a beautiful peach scent. That wasn't the only thing in the routine that had a fruit extract in it. I also used an exfoliating scrub. What did it contain? To my amazement, it was based with sugar but had pomegranate extract in the formula. Against my better judgment, I tasted some and it was delicious!

That was not the end of my fruit escapade, though. I walked into my main foyer of my parent's house, (I'm on vacation with them for the time being) and saw my mother rubbing pineapple juice on her face and neck. What in the heck was she doing, I was thinking to myself as I saw her frantically cut pineapple and apply it to her skin? She was using an old anti aging remedy that apparently works. Pineapple juice, among other things, works on the skin to prevent and treat wrinkles. This isn't the only home wrinkle remedy I learned tonight, but it was the only one that used fruit.

The acai berry, found in the Amazon region of Brazil, is no stranger to media and it's been used in many formulas worldwide from weight loss, to juices, to skin care. Now, it's being used in one of the top eye serums on the market. What else can this berry do, be used as an alternative fuel? It seems acai berry is everywhere, and now that it is a household skin care ingredient, there really is no limit to where it could go next.

Fruits are also used in healing. I remember a time when a major league baseball player caught a ball and his thumb instantly swelled up from the impact it made. There was talk that it was broken. What did he do? He cut open a lime, filled it with salt, and put his thumb in there. He then closed the lime and squeezed it. I'm not sure what this age old Latin American remedy really does therapeutically, if anything, but the point I am making is it involved a fruit!

Fruits are everywhere, and it's hard to imagine a world without fruit....at the rate it is being used, what will be next?
