Low Glycemic Index Diet

Pregnant women are advised to eat a low glycemic index diet, so that the chances of their babies being healthy, after they are born, increases. Another advantage of a low glycemic diet is that, it helps women to keep their weight in complete control and deal with the problem of obesity and excess fat on body parts like thighs and abdomen. A low glycemic index diet plan will contain low glycemic index foods with GI value less than 50, such as asparagus, avocado, cabbage, green beans, peanuts, spinach, cucumber, lettuce, snow peas and cauliflower. Medifast Diet
The medifast diet will consist of five meals and will include food items like cooked poultry, seafood, salad cups, raw vegetables and vegetables which have low carbohydrate contents. Nutritious and healthy snacks such as soy crisps and some soups are a striking feature of the medifast diet. Atkins Diet
The Atkins diet for women decreases the intake of carbohydrates and consists of four phases - the induction phase, the ongoing weight loss phase, the pre-maintenance phase and the lifetime maintenance phase.
In the induction phase, the carbohydrate intake is as less as 20 grams per day. In the Atkins diet, you can include food items such as cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, salads, fish and poultry. You should drink a lot of water and avoid certain legumes like the green beas. Alcoholic drinks are a strict 'no' for people on Atkins diet. In the ongoing weight loss phase, the carbohydrate intake is slightly increased, while in the pre-maintenance phase, it is again raised by ten carbs. The lifetime maintenance phase involves continuing with the habits which have been developed by women due to the first three phases. Candies, cookies, potatoes, bananas, apples are to be avoided in an Atkins diet.
Cabbage Soup Diet
The cabbage soup diet can be defined as a fad diet, which is meant for weight loss by consuming a cabbage soup for seven consecutive days. The cabbage soup, which is low in calories, is consumed along with fruits excluding bananas on the first day, with vegetables like potato on the second, with fruits and vegetables not containing potatoes and bananas on the third, then again with bananas on the fourth day. On the fifth day, cabbage soup will be coupled with beef and tomatoes, and beef and vegetables, not containing potatoes on the sixth day. On the final day, it should be taken with rice and fruit juices. The weight watchers diet is also good for women health, according to medical reports.
