Devilishly Delectable Chapter 9
"Sadie, its time to get up. It’s 7.00." Reggie said.
I opened my eyes and found Reggie lying next to me. I stayed over his again and by the looks of it I will be staying here for a while. Seeing Tate is something that I am not ready for nor will I ever be. I think he is the one who has been constantly calling, Reggie says it is just one of his friends but I know better. I don’t even want to think about it!
"I don’t have any clothes." I realized then.
"Corrine brought some over. Remember?"
"Um, no."
"Oh that’s okay. I can help you chose something if you want."
"Sure." I wasn’t even attempting to hide my lack of energy. Reggie slid off the bed and went over to a black bag that was placed on the chest at the end of his bed. He started to rummage through all the clothes.
"What do you want to wear? There is a nice black dress here that would go great with these boots, or denim jeans and black shirt or-"
"How about that dress." I said.
"What dress?"
"That colorful one." I said sliding off the bed.
"Oh ah I didn’t think you would…want to wear that."
"Why not?"
"Because it’s…ah…cheerful." He barely whispered that.
"I am cheerful, Reggie. Just because of the whole…situation doesn’t mean I lost my sense in colorful clothes."
"I know I just thought-"
"Well you thought wrong didn’t you." I said with a little bit of anger. "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that…I just-"
"Its okay Sadie." I pulled him into a tight hug.
"I love you so much Reggie."
"Me too sweetie, me too."
"We should probably get ready now." I said pulling back from him. He nodded his head. I grabbed the dress; it had a red, yellow, orange and pink pattern and was a strapless. Reggie decided on the white sandals that had tassels. I got dressed and left my hair out. I added a little mascara but that was it. I wasn’t in the mood to worry about make up. Actually I don’t think I had a mood. I felt so…numb. From everything, apart of me was scared of that but the other part accepted it, it was better than feeling pain.

After twenty minutes of continually telling Reggie that I wasn’t hungry we left. All I could think about was sitting in that car with Maddox. John Pierre I can handle but Maddox…he’s just Maddox. We made it to the company with five minutes to spare. We got out of the car and walked towards the entrance of the building. Reggie had to park quite far away because there was no parking. As we approached the building I saw Maddox and John standing quite far away from each other. I stopped.

"Sadie are you okay?" Reggie asked.
"Yeah, yeah I just needed a second."
"Don’t think that you have to do this Sadie because you don’t."
"Its fine. I have to do my job right?"
"Yes."
"So lets go and do it." I started to walk towards the two men. They eyes flicked up and their gaze fell upon me. DEEP BREATHES. I kept on repeating in my head. I walked over to them.
"Morning gentlemen."
"Morning my dear Sadie. How are you today?" John said while kissing my hand. I pulled it away as subtly as I could.
"I’m fine John. How are you?"
"I’m excellent! I’m ready to get those creative juices flowing." He winked at me. I almost threw up. He is so gross.
"That’s enough." Maddox said, anger clear in his voice.
"Jealous are we Madden?"
"Its Maddox."
"Whatever."
"Lets just get going shall we? The sooner we are there the better." Reggie said. I so agreed with him. The sooner this day is over the better.

John Pierre opened the door and I slid into the limo. I pushed my way to the farthest side of the limo, closets to the driver. Reggie followed and sat next to me. Blocking me from the two guys paths. I secretly thanked him. John got in next and then Maddox. DEEP BREATHES. I continued to think. We began our journey towards the forest.

Once we passed the city, it was nothing but country, two hours later we reached the border of the forest.
"Which forest is this exactly?" Reggie asked.
"The Merain Natural Terrain."
"Oh. Are there any towns near where we are shooting."
"Of course there are Reggie, like I would go into the forest without any humanity around. I wouldn’t want to get lost."
"I wish you would." I muttered.
"What was that Sadie?"
"I said of course you wouldn’t."
"Oh, well anyway there is a small town about half an hour from here and-"
Suddenly the car jolted to a stop. We all flew forward.
"What the hell?" Reggie and I said at the same time.
"Driver what is going on?" John yelled. The driver’s window scrolled down.
"There seems to be something wrong with the car. I’ll check it out sir."
The driver got out and opened the hood. I saw smoke come out of the bonnet. A few minutes later he opened the driver door and leaned in to face us.
"The engine just cut out. I can’t seem to fix it."
"What does that mean? Speak English driver."
"It means that we won’t be going anywhere for a while." I said.
"What?!" John said.
"Sorry sir but we are sitting ducks until help comes and I’m afraid that there is no service out here."
"Well what the hell are we going to do then?" John through his arms up in the air dramatically. I rolled my eyes, he is such an idiot!
"Um," I looked at the driver’s license on the dashboard…ah Sam, "Sam?"
He looked surprised, "Yes Miss. Sadie?"
"Where is the closet town from here?"
"Well there is a town back there about ten miles but the next town would be around six or five miles."
"Okay so we will walk."
"What?" They all said.
"Its about a six mile walk and if we keep up the pace we can make it there in an hour and half maybe two."
"I am not walking six miles in these shoes, they’re Prada." John said.
"Fine stay here. I’ll go and bring back help." They all sat there looking at me. "Move." I said.

They all looked at each other then got out of the car I followed. Once I was out I stretched. Being cramped in a car for two hours is not my idea of fun. I suddenly felt drips of water, fall onto my head. I looked up and found it was beginning to rain.
"Your not walking to the next town in this Sadie." Reggie said.
"I agree." John said. "I think we should just sit and wait for help.
"How long will that take? Its better if I go and find help. It won’t take me that long."
"I still don’t think it’s a good idea."
"Fine then I will go alone."
"No you won’t. I will go with you." Maddox said. I suppressed a shiver.
"Its fine. I can go on my own."
"No it’s not. I’m coming with you." I still hadn’t looked at him yet and I wasn’t planning on doing so.
"Fine, I just hope you don’t leave me half way there." I quickly turned towards the direction of the town and started to walk away quickly. I could hear footsteps behind me but I didn’t turn around or even acknowledge him. I was not going to talk to him. Not after what he had done. I really hope he doesn’t think this is going to be a way to talk to me because this is one nut that isn’t going to break so easily.

I don’t know how long we walked for or how far we have got, all I know is that I was freezing. The rain was starting to get heavier and my dress was getting soaked. I felt so cold. I grabbed myself, trying to find warmth. I was drenched and cold and I couldn’t see anything. I was also very happy that I just decided on plain make up with water proof mascara. I longed for bed, a nice big, warm bed. Oh god with extra blankets and hot chocolate. I am so, so, so cold. Suddenly I felt a warm jacket cover my shoulders and two arms wrap themselves around my waist. I turned and pushed Maddox off me.

"Don’t you even dare." I spat at him.
"Sadie please, let me get you warm." He took a step forward and I took one back.
"Don’t come near me Maddox."
"Please, Sadie. Your hurting-"
"Hurting? Damn right I’m hurting and its all because of you Maddox."
"I know. I know I hurt you again and I’m sorry, I’m so, so, so sorry. Words can’t even describe."
"Funny, I heard that before. You know I thought I could actually believe you this time but you hurt me again. You broke my heart again."
"You’re the one who kept it from me Sadie."
"Yeah, because of this reason. I thought if I told you, you would leave me and I was right." I felt the endless tears fall from my face, the rain covered their tracks though.
"Sadie I was shocked, what I said I didn’t mean it. You have to believe that."
"I want to Maddox, I really do but I can’t, you’ve hurt me too many times. I don’t think I have anything left to give you."
"Sadie, I’m not going anywhere this time."
"Why should I believe you?"
"Because I love you Sadie, don’t you get that? You’re the reason I want to breathe. You’re the only person in the world who I want to make smile and laugh. You’re whom I want to hold onto and never let go. I was a jackass for leaving you again and I’m sorry, but I am not going anywhere this time Sadie. You mean too much to me and I am not going anywhere."
"Yeah and what happens if you leave me again? Where does that leave me?"
"I’m not going to leave you again." He walked over to me and cupped my face in his hands. "You are the love of my life, my world revolves around you, nothing can change that and nothing will. Believe me this time my love, I’m not going anywhere."

I couldn’t help but believe him. My heart wanted to beat, it begged to and Maddox’s words gave it the ability to do that. I put my hands around his neck and pulled him down to kiss me. Our lips moved with sudden fierceness, my tongue opening his mouth and meeting his. It was like we couldn’t get to each other fast enough. I needed more of him. I felt his hands move there way to my legs. He pulled me up and swung my legs around his waist. The rain didn’t matter anymore all that mattered was the longing kiss we were sharing. It wasn’t nice anymore, this kiss was filled with passion more intense than anything I had ever felt before.
BEEP BEEP! Suddenly the sounds of a car horn broke our connecting. I saw lights of a car coming around the corner. I quickly jumped down from Maddox but he didn’t let go of me. He held on to me for dear life, and I loved that. The cars lights were bright and stopped right in front of us. I saw an old lady get out of the car. She looked around sixty. She walked up to us.

"You guys must be Sadie and Maddox right?"
"Yes how did you know?" I asked.
"We found your friends, Reggie, Sam and John in the broken down limo a few miles back. They said that you went walking to find the next town."
"Yeah that’s right, it was kind of a bad idea though." I said. She giggled.
"Just a little bit. I have a house about two minutes from here, you guys are welcome to come and stay the night, I have clean clothes, food, baths."
"That sounds excellent." Maddox said. "Thank you."
"Its my pleasure. I don’t really get many visitors here and it’s a nice change of scenery. Well come on, the longer you stand out here the more chance you will catch a cold."

We nodded and got into her truck. Through the drive we found out her name is Mary-Lou. She moved up here to escape the city life and she fell in love with this place. She has two daughters that look exactly like her (there were pictures in the truck), long blonde hair with bright blue eyes and slender figures. Mary had grey hair though. She was a very sweet lady.

We pulled up to her house and it was pretty huge. Half of the house went out over the cliff that overlooked the whole forest. There was a patio that lined the bottom floor of the house. It was all wood. We walked inside and it looked like a little cottage. The living room had a coach and rug with a coffee table and a fire place, which was lit. There was a pretty big kitchen and a room that looked like a study. She walked up us stairs and pretty much guessed that we would be staying in the same room considering Maddox was still holding onto me, I didn’t mind it though. It was the first room on the second floor. It was medium size, with a king size bed in the middle that had four thick bed posts and drapes hanging from them. There was a chest at the end of the bed and a desk with a mirror in the corner and a bathroom also attached. There was a balcony attached to it as well, it was sheltered.

"I’ll bring you both some spare clothes and get those ones washed for you."
"Thank you again."
"Like I said my dear, its my pleasure."

She walked out of the room. I turned to face Maddox who was looking at me, intently. He gave me a crooked smile but it didn’t touch his eyes. I was about to ask what was wrong but Mary came back in.

"Here you are. I have my daughters sweats and a t-shirt, its not exactly expensive but it is warm."
"Its perfect, thank you." I said giving her a smile. She gave me one in return.
"And I have a pair of pajama pants and a shirt. It’s my husbands."
"Oh where is he?"
"He is actually visiting one of my daughters. Anyway I will leave you two, call me if you need anything."
"Um, you wouldn’t happen to know what time it is would you?"
"Its about three, my book time. I will see you soon for dinner, it should be ready about six."
"Okay. Thank you again."

She smiled then left the room, shutting the door behind her. I turned to face Maddox. He was still giving me the same look. I reached up and placed my hand on the side of his face.
"Whats wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing."
"Maddox tell me, please?"
"I was just thinking…I…I should have been there Sadie. I should have been there and I wasn’t."
"Its not your fault Maddox."
"It is Sadie. I should have been there to hold onto you, everyday and every night and helping you to feel better. But I didn’t instead I left. You deserve someone better Sadie, someone who isn’t completely worthless."
"You forgot jackass." I joked. He didn’t laugh. "Maddox Vincent Hunter you listen to me right now, I want you. I don’t care if you think I should have someone better because I think that there isn’t anyone else better. I love you Maddox Hunter. I love YOU."

Suddenly his lips were on mine. I put my hands on the back of his neck and pulled him closer. Our kisses were filled with passion again. He moaned a little and it set my body into overdrive. I pulled off his shirt that was now drenched, not caring if I tore off any buttons and then I went for his pants. I unbuckled the belt and unzipped his pants. He pulled the zip down at the back of my dress and it fell to the ground. We were now both in our underwear. He pulled me up again until my legs were around his waist, he then laid me down slowly and gently like I was the most fragile thing in the world. Slowly we undressed the rest of our clothes until our bodies were displaying themselves to each other. I smiled and kissed him, gently this time. Savoring each kiss as though it was our last. I couldn’t believe I was here, in his arms again, my body screaming with passion. His touch would send a bolt of electricity through me and I couldn’t help but gasp. His lips found mine greedily wanting more. Our bodies soon became one and I was in complete ecstasy.
We both reached our climax and it felt like I was going to explode. I have dreamed about this moment. The moment that I would be able to make love to him again, feel him kissing me, his gentle touch on my body. Everything felt amazing. He laid down next to me and rested my head on his chest.

"I love you so much Sadie Cleaver. More than my own life." I propped myself on my elbow and looked into his sparkling green eyes.
"I love you too Maddox, so much it consumes me."
He gave me a dazzling smile and gently kissed me.
"We should probably get ready, it will be time for dinner soon." I pouted my lip and he chuckled.
"Would you like to join me in the shower?" I whispered seductively.
"Now, now my love there will be plenty of time for that." He kissed me one last time. I slowly got up and grabbed my clothes and headed towards the bathroom. After my quick shower it was Maddox’s turn. His body looked so good that I had to look away to keep from jumping on him.
I lied down on the bed and found myself drifting off too sleep.

(((MADDOX))))

I hopped into the hot shower. The water felt good against my skin but what felt better was Sadie. I couldn’t believe what just happened. I made love to Sadie for the first time in four years. I longed for that moment to happen. I would dream about it but now it actually happened and I was officially the happiest person in the world. I thought it would take me a lifetime that I would be happy to serve, to get her to forgive me. I’m not going to stuff it up this time. I am going to hold onto her for dear life and this time I am not letting go.

I got dressed and walked out of the bathroom.
"Hey Sadie I was-" I cut myself off when I realized the beauty before me sleeping soundly. I smiled, she was so beautiful. I sat down beside her and gently brushed my hand against her cheek. I was trying to make sure that this was real and by the warmth of her skin, it was. There was a slight knock at the door. I got up off the bed and opened the door.

"Hi Mary."
"Hello my dear, I was just going to tell you that dinner is ready for you both."
"Thanks we will be right down. "
"Okay." She turned and walked down the stairs.
I turned and walked towards Sadie.
"Sadie." I whispered.
"Yeah?" She said, opening her eyes.
"Dinner is ready. Are you hungry?"
"Starving." I smiled. She got up and I put my arm around her waist. I was not going to let her go. I heard her giggle and she led the way down stairs towards the dinning room, which was attached to he kitchen.

There were plates and plates of food as well as some desserts already on the table.
"Yum. I’m so hungry." Sadie said.
"Well come and eat then, quickly before the food gets cold." Mary said. Sadie pulled me along to the table and I sat next to her. I moved my chair closer to her and put my hand on her leg. She giggled and I looked up to see Mary smiling.
"You two are even more cute than what I’ve seen in the pictures."
"What pictures?" Sadie asked.
"The ones that are plastered all over the magazines. Don’t tell me you don’t know about them?"
"Yeah those ones I know about."
"I thought I had recognized you both somewhere and then you told me your names, well all I can say is that I know what true love looks like and you two definitely have it."
I looked down at Sadie who was smiling.
"I think your right." I said. Sadie looked up at me and blushed. Like I said before, I always loved that color on her.
"Well dig in, after the walk you two had today, you deserve it."

We didn’t need any further instructions, we both dug into the food, Sadie more eagerly than myself. We started to make small conversation with Mary, her learning more about us then herself.

"What about your daughters Mary?" I asked wanting to get off the subject of us.
"One daughter is learning to be a doctor and the other is a lawyer in California."
"That’s great." Sadie said.
"Oh Sadie you have know idea how proud I am of them. You will soon find out. When you see them grow up and change it’s mind boggling. It’s truly one of the best jobs in the world. What people tell you is nothing compared to the experience. When they are just babies, they are so small and so petite but you find yourself having so much love for them, that it’s almost unbearable." I looked down at Sadie. She had tears falling from her eyes.
"I…I…I’m so sorry." She said, then she got up from the table and ran to the room.
"Did I say something wrong?"
"No it wasn’t you. I’m sorry but I-"
"Go, go. Don’t worry about me." She said cutting me off.

I ran up the stairs and opened the bedroom door. I saw Sadie lying on the bed, her back to me. I didn’t think twice I walked over to her and lied down next to her. I pulled her into me and held onto her for dear life, just like my dad said he did. She was crying so hard that she was shaking, but I didn’t let go. I felt her hug me even tighter. She was broken and I was determined to fix her, if that meant I had to hold on to her for the rest of my life then that’s what I will do.

"I’m not going to leave you Sadie. I’m here. It’s okay." I whispered. "I love you Sadie, I love you so much. It’s going to be okay. I promise."

She cried for the next hour, until she fell asleep. I promised her and myself that I wouldn’t let go and I didn’t. I held her tightly in my arms.
"I love you Sadie Cleaver. I love you."
