Derek Jeter

Dear Derek Jeter...
As President of the Official Derek Jeter Fan Club, I'd like to say what a jerk George Steinbrenner is. The Boss wants you more focused. He says your mind is not totally on baseball and more so on extracurricular activities. Doesn't he realize he's talking to the greatest player in MLB history.
Enough with the Jeter hype
Derek Jeter is the most overrated player in the game today. Don't take this wrong, he's a solid player. However, most of his hype is due to the fact that he plays in New York and is a likeable guy. If Jeter played on a team out of contention, he would hardly get any praise.
Nothin' sweeter than Derek Jeter
Given the history of professional sports' most famous franchise, it's very hard to attain the title of "New York Yankee Legend." Simply put, Derek Jeter deserves that distinction right now, and would deserve it even if -- heaven help baseball fans everywhere -- he never played again.
Media: Wow! Derek Jeter wears the same socks I do! Now that's news I can use!
Imagine an interview where you don't get asked the tough questions. Imagine sitting across from someone doing nothing but reminding you how great you are. Now imagine it Saturday morning at 10:00 on ESPN.
MLB: Jeter inks with Yanks for 10 more
Derek Jeter passed up the chance to test the free agency waters at the end of next season to ink a long-term deal with the Yankees and ensure he retires a Bronx Bomber.
