New technology is everywhere and like many people say, as soon as new technology is marketed and sold- it is already outdated because new technology is being created all the time. One great new technology recently announced is a keyboard just for dentists. Like other new products that offered this common statement about new inventions, dentist are asking what did we do before this?
Recently announced, touch screen and character recognition technology are making strides into dentist’s offices all over the U.S. A product called CleanKeys keyboard was just voted "Best New Product" by attendees of 2007 Annual Session of American Dental Association. A patented touch pad TSM3957 is a vital part of the keyboard embedded beneath a glass surface. The Glide Touch technology allows hygienists and dentists to easily enter data into a computer without having to remove their gloves or worry about splashing a little bit of water onto the keyboard.

Or the computer keyboard was covered by a plastic coating, often bulky, unsanitary and mistakes were commonly made. Now, the keyboard can be close by, easily wiped clean and used at arm’s length.
