Denise Richards Went to Hospital with Charlie Sheen
When Charlie Sheen was rushed to a NYC hospital yesterday following a drunken tirade, Denise Richards accompanied her ex-husband.
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were both staying at the Plaza Hotel in New York City while Denise completed a publicity tour for a variety of work that she is currently doing. Richards and Sheen were not staying in the same hotel room and Sheen was apparently at the hotel, in large part, to spend time with the couple's two daughters from their time spent as a married couple.
Charlie couldn't hold things together, however, and was rushed a New York hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after police were called to his hotel suite. According to reports, he was naked and had trashed the room, leaving a frightened prostitute trapped in the hotel room bathroom, where she eventually called police.
Sheen's publicist released a statement saying that he had an allergic reaction to some prescription medication that he was taking, but there was no comment about the room being trashed or the presence of a prostitute in the room.
During interviews the following day, Denise Richards revealed that she accompanied Charlie to the hospital and that she is very careful to shield her daughters from his behavior and the swirling press that follows his antics.
While speaking to Howard Stern on Tuesday, Richards theorized that Charlie Sheen tends to lose interest in relationships once the woman becomes pregnant. Based on his pattern of behavior with Richards and now with Brooke Mueller, it would appear that there is some validity to that line of thinking.
