Denise Richards Seeks Protection

The court documents have not been released yet, but her attorney said the actress is seeking "the assistance of the court to obtain orders to protect her children" from Sheen. Richards’ lawyer, Neal Raymond Hersh said, "She believes that Charlie has significant personal issues which he has failed to address and which require her to take action to protect her children. This is not a vindictive action. Any responsible parent in Denise’s shoes would go to the ends of the Earth to protect her children." Sheen responded that Richards "behaves as though she owns our children. She does not. A day of legal reckoning for her is fast approaching."

Richards and Sheen have been embroiled in a nasty custody case over their daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2. The latest turn of events is just another in the long drawn out battle. It has been reported that Richards has accused Sheen of "inappropriate behavior and conduct" including "his attraction to underage women and his sexual explicitness on the Internet, including revealing his private parts." Richards is reportedly looking to have Sheen’s overnight visits with the girls revoked. Sheen released the following statement: "Clearly the mother of my children has no interest in responsible co-parenting when it comes to my relationship with our girls. The truth will prevail. It always does."

Sheen and Richards were married in June 2002. The couple split in March 2005 when Richards was six-months pregnant with the couple’s second child. Their divorce was finalized in November 2006 and the custody battle has been going on since then. Sheen got engaged to real-estate investor Brooke Mueller in July 2007 and the couple are looking to get married sometime in the near future.
