Degenerative arthritis is a disease that affect millions of people all over the world.
Osteoarthritis is a disease that affects millions of people each year and is very common. Once it reaches the stage of deteriorating the cartilage that is located between joints it is called degenerative arthritis. The cartilage is made of protein and it protects the joints and keeps them from rubbing together causing pain. This disease breaks down the cartilage and exposes the bones. The bones will start rubbing together and it can be extremely painful. One type is called primary and no one really why it occurs. Research shows that the protein in the cartilage starts to break down with age and the water intake increases and primary osteoarthritis occurs with age. The other type is called secondary osteoarthritis.

Normally secondary osteoarthritis is caused by repeatedly using the same joints over and over for long periods of time. Most of the time this will happen because the persons career requires them to repeat the same action on a daily basis and they have to perform this task to do their job properly. This repetition will wear down the cartilage between the bones and cause degenerative arthritis to occur faster. Over the period of a few years a person can do a lot of damage to their body this way. It is best to avoid repetition if at all possible.

Degenerative arthritis can be very painful and it would be best if you did not have to worry about it being a part of your future. There is not really anything that you can do to ensure you will not have this disease but you can reduce the odds by taking care of yourself now. Avoid putting extra strain on your hips, knees and spin by eating healthy and exercising regularly. This will help you maintain a good weight that is suitable for your body. Avoid doing unnecessary damage to your body and take measures to stay as healthy as possible.
