On the airport back to England, Kim daydreamed.
She daydreamed about meeting with Romeo for the first time in a whole year. It was an exciting thought. I filled her with joy from the top of her head to her toes. It also made her jumpy and she irritated everyone in first class. She didn't know hwy she had got annoyed with Romeo before. She just felt like stirring things up. It was a stupid to do, looking back at it.
Some hours later, the plane landed in Heathrow. Her heart pounded and she could hardly hear what the air hostess was saying to her. She followed the crowd off the plane and into the airport. While she waited for her bags to come around she searched. She looked at everyone's face and tried to spot Romeo. But even if he was there she wouldn't have been able to see him. The airport was packed. She had to find a way to get to him. She had no more credit. She spotted the help desk and wondered if she should tell him where she was over the tannoy, but then, as if by magic, two people moved and she could see Romeo standing behind them. He had an excited yet anxious look on his face, the same she figured, that was on her face. He turned his head and saw her. Their eyes locked and they both broke out into delighted grins.
When she had left, Kim had made up a prediction. She had predicted that Romeo would forget her and move on, and that Cameron would wait for her. She had promised that if that was indeed the case, she would attempt to try a relationship with him. But now, she knew there was no need. The prediction was just nerves.
Romeo's eyes were filled with love. The love he felt for her had not dimmed but grown in size. Kim stepped away from the bags, leaving hers to pass, and made her way to Romeo. She was taking in the differences of him now and before. She knew his face like the back of her hand, and looking at him now, she could tell he had gotten darker and that he hadn't been getting enough sleep; he had light bags under his eyes, but he was still the most gorgeous person she had ever seen. She reached him quickly; she must have been rushing without noticing. He held his arms open and she jumped into them with a shriek that could have broken glass.
He laughed as he pressed his nose into her hair and took a deep breath.
He had missed the smell of her, her beautiful face, her weirdness. He felt whole again now that she was back in his arms.
"I missed you so much" he whispered in her ear. She looked into his face and he could see she had tears in her eyes.
"I missed you too"
Her heart was filling, over-flowing with love; all the love that had been restricted for a year, with nowhere to go but burrow deeper into her heart. When she kissed him it poured out and they could feel the power of it. His love and her love mixed together to make something so powerful it gave Kim goosebumps. Romeo wiped her tears with his thumb and put it in his mouth. Kim just laughed and shook her head.
"You had to ruin a wonderful moment didn't you?" she mumbled as she buried her face in his jacket.
"I don't think it's ruined. It's only just getting started" he answered and pulled her to the carousel to get her bags.
