Deception

My perception of a day that started out nice and ended in rain.
Beginning of summer,
The sun brightly shines;
The world has its own rhythm.

Water, like a piece of glass,
Glistens in the sun's distorted rays;
I am alone.

The cool water looks inviting;
It's smooth rhythm is beckoning to me;
I wade in, goosebumps cover my body.

Clouds curtain the sky concealing the sun;
A shadow falls over the entire lake.
The frigid unfriendly breeze makes me shiver.

The warm sand is very appealing;
The breeze shifts readily;
The moment is pure.

Lying on my back I observe the sky;
The abyss of swirling darkness;
In an instant the sky seems to collapse;
Stigmatic raindrops begin to fall.
