DEBBIE - Chapter 9

Debbie's mom continues with her hatred for her but that doesn't stop Emma and her friendship.
''Sir ... Debbie is rebellious, all she's told you lies, I told her to do her chores and she decided to run away from home...'' aunt Seth said.
It was outrageous. She had the guts to sit there and lie about everything.
''Yes it's true! Mave lied too.
Emma's dad just looked at me and said, ''Debbie... you should obey your mother and never pull a stunt like that again, ok?''
''I ...''
''No Debbie, don't back chat, you heard the king.'' Aunt Seth cut in between my sentence.
''You can go now Mrs. Seth ...''
Aunt Seth, Mave and Rute stood up. I stood up too to go home of course.
''Hey Deb ... are you leaving already?'' Emma asked.
''Dad, can she stay? Please... just for a few more days, please?''
''Ok... she can stay for as long as she wants.''
Emma was happy she gave me a big hug and pulled me towards her room.

On the other hand, Aunt Seth and my cousins just looked at me with that evil eye.
''Come... wear this.'' Emma said, taking out a pink tank top and black silk shorts.
''I thought you wouldn't want to talk to me after what my mom told you guys...'' I said.
''Naaaa-a c'mon, we all do something naughty in our life... now get dressed... I don't want to be late!''
''Late? Where are we going?''
''Arg Debbie, just get dressed, you'll see.''
She handed me pink stilettos to wear with and she took out her gold one armed top and jean shorts with gold stilettos.

Emma seemed to be getting so attached and free with me. It was the same with me too. Life here in South Africa was getting better all because of Emma and I liked her so much.

We got into her black Audi TT and we arrived at this big pub. The pub was so colorful.
''Hey... what's this?'' I asked giggling.
''Welcome to 'Emma's place'...'' she said, getting out of the car.
''Emma's place?'' I looked at the pub and on top it was written ''Emma's place'' in gold lights... wow she had her own pub.
''Hey are you getting out or what?''
''Sorry... lol'' I pulled out and she dragged me inn.
There were a lot of people inside. All the waiters greeted Emma and one cute waiter came with two cocktails with a note to us. She took the cocktails and gave one to me.
''Thanks ...''I said.

People were dancing and at the background, disco music was playing so loud I couldn't hear myself talking.
''So is this club yours?'' I asked Emma.
''What! Speak louder I can't hear you!''
''Is this place yours!''
''Yea, my dad bought it for me last year on my 21st birthday.''
''Wow, it's nice!'' I said looking around and taking a first sip from my drink.
Yuck! Awful! It was alcohol... I never liked alcohol; it had this sour taste to it.
''Wait till you see around...'' Emma said flashing me a smile and leading me behind the pub.
It was full of entertainment, things that I had dreamt of the minute I heard the word South Africa. Wow!

We did everything that was in the pub from eating to diving in warm chocolate. We had so much fun and it was almost midnight. Emma and I decided to return home before it became dangerous to drive.
I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
''Thanks, I had so much fun Emma...''
''Fun is my middle name... there's some... else... want...''
Words started becoming blunt to me as my eyes slowly shut.
