Deaths Victory

This describes what it feels like when death begins to consume your life...
When death is present the air grows cold
And day grows to night.
The public you were once in
Turns private and you are in solitude.
Sweetness in your eyes has faded and dimmed to fear
And that’s when defeat takes over.
Your soul turns to ice and brain to a piece of stone,
What seems like an eternity only lasts
For a few seconds and you swallowed by its anguish.
Death has triumphed over you and has taken its victory.
