Death Touch
This is the first part of my story and it's about a man and a woman moving into a new home but it will soon be deadly. Leave comments plez.
The scent of Lavender was overpowering, entering in and out of her beloved blood stream. Anxiety rushed over her every part, leaving as soon as it hit the tips of her toes. All she was doing the long four-hour drive to Downhill was breathing in and breathing out slow, sharp breaths of nothing but stimulation. She could feel the cold, breathtaking air whip against her face with the window rolled wide open. It felt like flying. She laughed at the extent of enthusiasm she was holding in the small amounts of her brain. She tilted slightly to her left to see her beloved husband driving the vehicle down towards the darkened trees.
"When are you going to give up and tell me where you're taking me?" She laughed with whatever energy she had left.
"Shhh..." Her husband teased. "You'll ruin the surprise"
She lifted one of her tired arms and stroked his brown, flaky hair.
"Owen" She whispered from the very tip of her tongue. "I'm tired and I want to know why I've traveled all this way"
He brushed his lips over her palm. "All in good time, my love"
She giggled with extermination and gave him a salty look. Knowing that she wasn't going to get her own way, yet again, she rolled her head back down to the side and dreamed. The cold wind was blowing back her dark hair that traveled all down her body and ended at her waist. Her husband smiled at her. She was a gorgeous creature, simply remarkable down to every feature.
Her hair was a wonderful push back remark, which surrounded her entire face. Her eyes were the perfect shade of green that could light up any child. Her nose was the exactly the same shape from the age of four, her cheekbones were always lifted at the point of love. Her lips were flawless and wet from always whispering to the nature that lived outside their lives. Her skin was always pale, never once had a tan marked a spot anyway on her form. Her body, her body was magnificent. She had a glow inside of her that made her husband wonder if she was an angle trapped inside a human body.
But the best part about her, the best part, is her soul. She has a kindness that not even God can take credit for creating. Only her herself is the only one that does not see the woman she is referred to and her alone is the one that can understand it better than all of us.
Collette is the name of the beautiful creature that lived on the earth with mankind. She sighed; a sigh could mean a lot. It could mean that she was tired, hungry, thirsty, angry, annoyed and even heartbroken. A sigh is something the body performs when you are out of character; a sigh could say a lot about your soul.
By explaining all this another hour has passed us by.
"We're here" Owen breathed a sigh of relief. Finally the long six-hour drive was over and he could show his beloved wife the reward at the end of the tunnel.
He leaned over to where Collette was sleeping presently. She looked so calm and peaceful that it was almost a crime to wake the angle.
"Toora, loora, loora
Toora, loora, li
Toora, loora, loora
Hush, now, don't you cry"
He whispered the lullaby in her ear with his soothing voice, making her wake up and join reality.
"Ah,
Toora, loora, loora
Toora, loora, li
Toora, loora, loora
it's an Irish lullaby"
Collette looked up and dazzled him with her smile. "You're singing the lullaby my mother use to sing me to sleep when I was young"
He could barely hear her voice as she was very tired. She did not yet bother to open her eyes, she thought they were still in the car, driving and driving until it never ended.
"Wake up, Collie"
She didn't, all she did was roll back her head and yawn. Her eyelids were still dropped so he could not see her precious emerald eyes.
"Come on baby" He pleaded with much force. "We're here and you don't want to sleep in the car do you?"
Her eyes fluttered slightly. "We're here?"
Her tone was sneaky and misleading. Her husband laughed at her expression. "Yes"
Her eyelids stumbled for a minute and then, with much force, she got her head to obey and told it to open her eyes. She was still sitting in the car, although it was turned off and the door was opened were Owen was kneeling next to her. He beamed as soon as she was awake enough to see it and appreciate it.
"Hi you" She whispered.
Owen reached down and kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes again and tried to exhale.
"Ready for your surprise?" He breathed on her skin, raising Goose bumps on her neck. She couldn't speak a single word in the presence of Owen. What would she say? She would be so worried that she would say something unpractical and immodest to her king. So what does she do if she may not speak the words? She simply nods to show body language as a sign.
Then, without any warning being shown to her, Owen wraps one of his arms around her legs and the other around her waist and sets her in place against his chest.
"What are you doing?" She demanded as she did not like being treated like a child and Owen knew that, so why was he doing this.
"Being a husband" He simply answered. She would have protested further but she was again unable to speak, but not because she was afraid, no, she could not speak because a hand was clamped over her mouth to stop her. She was then being carried somewhere. She would have asked about the car and where they were going. But how could she? It was too dark to see anything or anyone, not that she would imagine anyone would be out here in the first place. It was the middle of the night.
Owen then stopped suddenly and set Collette on her feet facing him. She was ready to yell and scream at his juvenile behavior towards her, but as soon as she saw his innocent face she knew that she didn't have the guts to end it.
"So?" She asked, rather annoyed now. He stared at her as if he had no idea what she was on about. "Owen? You made me sit in a car for god knows how long wondering where we were going the whole way, you then treated me like I was three by singing me a lullaby and picking me up and carrying me out in the darkness, and now what? You're not going to talk to me?"
He chuckled under his breath as he watched his loved one's face go hot red.
"Turn around" Was all he mumbled out in the presence of a woman who was almost eternally close to killing him right where he stood. Her father was a swords man, he taught her well.
She took a deep breath. "Excuse me?"
He lifted his finger above her and twirled it around.
A groan left her but she obeyed her husband's wishes. The sooner she did what he asked the sooner this was over.
She turned slowly around, slower than usual as she was frighted by what her eyes might see. She had absolutely no idea what her husband was showing her. What was the big surprise that had him all excited? She would soon find out.
When she was almost fully around her husband whispered something to her. "Close your eyes, don't peek"
Annoyed yet again, Collette closed her eyes and continued to turn to the fullest. Owen placed his hands gently on her shoulders in motion to stop. Collette stood still and waited for the blessing for her to open her eyes. It didn't come. She stood there impatiently for a while until she could no longer handle it.
"This is ridicules! Why am I here?" She yelled furiously.
She heard a slight chuckle in the background and was prepared to kill him if he did not act his age. "For God's sake Owen, your 29 years old! Start acting like it!"
"Okay, okay. I can see that you're pissed" He laughed enormously at the fact that he was the one in charge of his wife and he didn't want that to end. "Open you're eyes"
Finally Collette could flutter her eyelids and see why all this was happening. She could see why her new husband was acting secretive and silly. She could not think of any reason why a 29-year-old, soon to be 30, was doing this to her. He knows her well enough to know that she doesn't like surprises and being treated like a young child looking for her mother. If this was something as thick as the way Owen was acting she was defiantly considering divorce.
