Death Sonnet
Sonnet speaking about misery and hopelessness.
Shady lies hold me with vacillating arms,
Where is my so called savior I declare,
The devil sways me with his tempting charms,
Scarlet on the skin brings an empty swear,
Melting clocks pave the road with his whispers,
All grace has been removed from the sinner,
Vomit stems from the loving worshiper,
The hopes of escaping hell grow thinner,
Each bends their knees and bow in exultation,
How kind is he, who feeds from suffering,
Winter has come with dim tribulation,
Whispering prayers, holding my rosaries,
Long has Satan waited for his vengeance,
Loving slaves all have suffered in a sense.
