Death and Heartache - Chapter 18

Jay's P.O.V

Everyone say dying is easy, slow yet painful but once you've passed the short burst of hurt it's almost nice slowly slipping away from life. If only it was that easy.

-10 Minutes Earlier-

I arrived home from the party late, I think it was about midnight even though I told Allia I would be back around ten. I really felt bad leaving my baby all the time, I felt like the worst mother in the world and I really need to be there for my son before he doesn't even know who I am. But every time I stare into his eyes my hearts searches for Adam, he was the love of my life, sure he could be a jerk but he always made up for it by being super romantic like a picnic on the beach or a romantic moon lit dinner. And yeah he raped me but only I know that and I forgave him as it made us closer once I found out I was pregnant.

I left my thoughts and went back to parking the car, I turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car double checking it was locked I turned toward the trailer. The air suddenly turned from warm to icy cold as the street light turned off, I began to freak out as I realized I was standing in the exact spot where Adam died. I looked down to see blood stained dust on the floor where the love of my short life died, I had an instinct it was going to be very short at that moment and who knew that I was going to turn out to be right.

A soft breeze blew as I fell to the ground crying, my life had turned to nothingness. I could see through the window Zeke and Allia were laughing and having fun while I was falling to pieces. Suddenly Keith and Juliana were standing over me "Look at the sad pathetic little girl lying on the ground" said Keith laughing at me.

"Aww do you want your piece of shit boyfriend back?" said Juliana gripping my neck, I spat in her face and she dropped me back to the ground. "You shouldn't have done that slut" Snarled Keith then kicking me in the face.

Keith and Juliana began a kicking frenzy, they covered every part of my body with kicks from there, apparently very sharp shoes. According to Juliana that wasn't enough to kill me, even though I was in a world of hurt every part of my body ached. She came close to my face but I turned away trying hard not to look into her eyes. Juliana grabbed my left wrist and Keith grabbed my right, at the same time they slit my wrists with their teeth and I tried to scream out in pain but my mouth was quickly covered. They let go of my hands and left me to die, I heard yelling and arguing but couldn't see who it was.

The wind began to blow hard and dust kept getting in my face, I lifted my hand to cover my face but they were weak. I hadn't realized how deep they really cut till I felt all the blood drip onto my face and flow down the side of my cheeks.

I began to feel weaker and weaker as I got closer and closer to death. I was so weak I couldn't keep my hands up anymore and they dropped to the dust, my eyes closed as I prepared to be taken when I heard the trailer door shut and Allia crying as well as my son. I turned my head slightly to see Allia and Adam walking off together with my baby into the forest, that's when it came to me Jayke! Adams middle name was Jayke!

I tried to scream out but I had lost to much blood and my head was spinning, I reached into my pocked with my weak floppy hand and pulled out my phone clicking onto Allia's name and calling her. I heard her phone ringing in the distance I turned around to see her picking up the phone then turned to look at me shocked, Allia dropped the phone and sprinted over to me with my son.

"Oh my God Jay, we got to get you to a hospital"
"There's no time" I whispered.

"There has to be time! Holy shit look at your wrists!" She yelled looking at my hands.
"Jayke"
"What?"
"Jayke Adam Jones for the baby" I don't think she realized how hard it was for me to talk.
"But that's Zeke's last name"
"Exactly, I know you two will last forever"

She looked over to Zeke as a small tear dripped down her Face, I think as that moment she knew I was about to die as she put my baby in front of my face and I kissed him on the head "Always know that I love you , and you too Joy" I said before the pain began to hurt even worse, then there's was a bright flash of light then total darkness.

Allia's P.O.V

I burst into tears as I watched my best friend in the whole world die right in front of my eyes. I felt lost, how was I supposed to live knowing my best friend is dead and I'll never see her ever again. She had been there for me through my hardest moments.

*Flash back to 8 year old Allia*
"JAY!" I screamed as hard as I could as I cried my eyes out.
"What's wrong joy?" she asked rushing towards me.
My full Name was Joyce Allia Williamson but I preferred to be called Allia but seeing as my best friends name was Jay so she decided to call me Joy.
"I saw him jay I saw him again!"
"What! Where?"
"Over by the bushes" I shivered pointing towards the rose bushes.
"Joyce!" My mother screamed.
"I'm fine mummy were just playing!" I replied as she poked her head out the slider door.

My new "daddy" Keith walked out from his and mummy's bedroom and walking onto the railed balcony his eyes were brown but they suddenly turned a very light blue as he snarled and slowly walked backwards back into the room shutting the door hard.
Mom looked up at where Keith was standing then looked to her feet "Stay out of troubles girls" She said poking her head back inside. I turned back to the bushes stunned.

"He's back"
"What's he doing?"
"He's waving"
"Is he saying anything?"
"He wants me to join him" I began to walk towards my Daddy when Jay pulled me back.
"Allia! Don't leave me!" She cried.
"But I miss him so much" I yelped as a tear dripped down my face.

All I wanted in the whole world was to be in my daddy's arms again and never ever let go.
Jay was the only one that I had ever told about my 'power' to see people that have passed and she never once judged me but helped me get through it.

"I know Joy, but if you go you might never come back".
I looked back at the rose bushes to see that my father had gone, Jay hugged me tightly and I whispered in her ear "I hope I never have to see you on the other side".

*End Flashback*
I looked up from Jay's cold dead body to see her, Siena, Adam and my father all standing together and I burst into a fit of happy tears. Adam and Jay seemed so happy and Siena looked kind of depressing but fulfilled and as for my father he seemed rather proud of me and he nodded towards Zeke who was standing over Jay shocked. He held out his hand once he noticed me looking at him and I grabbed, Zeke struggled to pull me up but eventually managed.

Zeke pulled me close into his arms trying not to squash Jayke he held me tight for a small moment then kissed me on the head holding my face tight. He pressed his hand on my back and pushed me gently towards the woods I placed my hand in my pocket making sure I still had the money in it which was just enough to get us to where we needed to go. We were off to New York to start fresh and we only but $3,000 that we had both saved up and also money I had gotten from working in a cafe every Friday night.

I turned back to see all my loved one's that had passed and they all disappeared one by one until my father was the last one standing and he whispered to me "Follow your heart my beautiful little angel, I will soon find you once again" then he was gone. That's when I knew that what I was doing was right and followed Zeke towards the forest that shortcut to the train station "I love you Zeke" I whimpered as I began to cry lightly. He kissed me on the check then fixed Jayke's blanket making him more snug before heading towards our future.
