Dear Pyramid, thou art out !

As an Egyptian, I was heartbroken to know that the Great Pyramid of Giza is now out of the seven wonders list. I am not writing this to whine or protest, I am just confused as every Egyptian and need some answers.

What are the standards for a monument to be one of the seven wonders? Ancientness? Endurance? size? Civilization?

The Great Pyramid was built 7,000 years ago. Yeah, believe it or not it has been standing there for 7,000 thousand years. Is there a building so huge as the Great Pyramid? Just search the internet and read about the Pyramids of Giza. Go to a public library and check out all these books about the Pyramids and the secrets of the Pyramids. What else does the Great Pyramid need to be enlisted in the world's seven wonders?

More surprisingly the selection of the ''new seven wonders'' was done according to the public vote via telephone, something like a Big Brother contest!

Enlisted or not enlisted, dear Pyramid, you are still standing there as an all time miracle, not just a wonder!
