Dear Diary (1)

Kiara: A girl who wishes she could fit in and that she could be more like Kate. She gets walked on and used... when will she ever stand up for herself?
Dear Diary,

This is the first time I, Kiara Lansley, have ever written in you. I'm sitting on my bed looking out the window thinking of my extremely depressing day. It reminds me of junior high when I swore I was going to get this one guy to ask me to homecoming. When I knew that wouldn't happen, I took matters into my own hands and called him. Thank goodness he wasn't home! Needless to say he never asked me, or talked to me again... not that we were talking to each other before.

Anyway, back to the present day. For a moment, I thought that a senior guy had the hots for me, maybe I was hoping. It wasn't like I was obvious about maybe liking him, but when you're me, you'll take the chance of crushing on a guy that doesn't like you back... even when you're a sophomore.

So, I'm a skinny, 5'9", blonde, wavy haired, green-eyed girl who does exceptionally well in school. My best friend, brown hair, 5'9", brown-eyed goddess who is way more outgoing than me, is amazing. Her name is Kate and that is who the senior guy was after... he just talked to me for my math skills. Yay me.

So this senior, his name is Joe. He lives next door to me and I guess he has a tape of me dancing in my underwear when I must have forgotten to close the curtains, so I'm stuck doing his freaking homework. I hate blackmail.

I set my diary down and looked out my window again. I saw the tree outside swaying with the breeze. Looking between the branches I saw the stars... then I saw a shooting star. I thought about what I would wish for and I couldn't think of anything at all. I see a light come on behind the tree and notice that Joe is home. I open the window and climb onto the tree with his homework in my back pocket. I climbed onto his balcony of which I was extremely jealous of and knocked on the doors. He looked up and motioned for me to come in. I handed him the paper.

"Your homework, sir." I said sharply and monotone.

"It's folded." He said.

"I'm already doing all the work, I'm not going to forge your handwriting too." I said as I turned around to leave. I was climbing onto the tree from the balcony when he said:

"You don't have to go. I have some English I need help with." He said with a poor attempt on being funny.

"Just remember we're not buddies Joe. The only reason I'm doing your calculus in the first place is because you blackmailed me. So yes, I do have to go, and no, I'm not doing anymore of your homework."

Hope you like it so far people. It is going to get better from here I promise, but please comment anyway!
