Chapter 17 - Final Chapter

"Cheryl? What are you doing here?" I exclaimed and my smile was immediately replaced with a frown.

"You can't marry Ray. How could you do this to me?" Cheryl yelled as her tears started to well up in her eyes.

"Cheryl? Why are you here?" Ray widened his eyes when he saw Cheryl standing there.

"Brother, you can't marry her. Mum would never allow it." Cheryl narrowed her eyes and glared at me.

"Cheryl, stop it." Ray warned sternly.

"Brother?" I looked at Ray and then Cheryl, and lastly I lowered my gaze to the floor. "What is happening here?" I mumbled under my breath. I couldn't fathom what was happening right now. Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life.

Ray's POV

I looked at Mikaela and I knew it instantly that she was upset. I immediately glanced at James and motioned him to bring the security guards. James nodded and quickly walked away for rescue.

"Cheryl, not today." I glared deadly at Cheryl and retorted harshly. She immediately kept her mouth shut and I turned my attention to Mikaela. Her face was devastated. It was like someone has jabbed a knife into her heart non-stop.

"Mikaela..." I held her shoulders firmly.

"What relationship do you both have?" She lifted her head up and I could see that she was holding back her tears.

"Mikaela, we'll talk later." I smiled widely and wrapped her tightly in my arms.

Mikaela's POV

"You'll regret! Mum will never forgive you." Cheryl yelled at Ray as two security guards carried her out.

"Ray, are you sure you want this to happen?" I couldn't keep the thoughts to myself.

"Of course, my love. What makes you think I don't want this to happen?" Ray answered with a grin. Before I could open my mouth and ask anymore questions, he pulled my face up to him for a hot and passionate kiss. And this one I'll never forget; this one I'll keep forever. His hands were spanning my waist, his thumbs were caressing gently my hip bone like they belong there as we pulled away from our kiss. Everyone stood up and started to applaud loudly and cheered for us.

"Cheryl is my step-sister. I just found out few months ago from my step-mother. Mikaela, they're no one to me. I don't need them to screw my life up again. All I need is you and Lola." He whispered into my ears and I finally let out a sigh of relief.

"You can rest assured about me having affair with other women because it will never happen. Not in this life." Ray chuckled. I nodded as I tiptoed for another kiss again.

"I'll remember it." I laughed in the kisses. I will never let go of this man anymore. This happiness will lead us to forever.

Author's POV

The church bells were ringing, their guests were waving them goodbye as they were leaving for their honeymoon. Their love was a river of emotion that would carry them together throughout the journey that would be the rest of their lives.
