Day Breaks Ch 2

We raced down to the water, and splashed each other. We felt like children there,
The hours passed and questions came and went, smiles were shared. I felt complete with Dawn here, was it happening too fast?I shouldn't fall so hard...not yet..no..not yet.
"We need to go soon" She spoke with a sadness that broke the sky's beauty, even at sunset.
Her hair seemed to glow around her as the wind blew the wet flames around her face, and her eyes had dropped but they were looking into mine.

I didn't know what to do but I looked back in them. I was blushing, and so was she.
We sat in the sand like that in each others eyes for hours it seemed, the sun kept going down. 30 minutes had actually passed. A slow smile crept up her face. And a shy, but all gentle smile I had never had before, displayed on my lips.
- I had never had a crush before her, but today it became more. She was my first romance, my first beginning of the unknown, she was MY first love.
She leaned in slightly, and I knew she wanted me to kiss her...
I slowly leaned in to her, as we closed our eyes we felt a spark.

Dawns P.O.V.--------------------------------------
He leaned in and my heart started racing. I have never felt a desire for anyone before, before him. I closed my amber eyes and he closed his brown eyes. A second later, we felt it.
My insides shook as I felt the spark, but on the outside I was still calm with my lips on his. Our eyes opened and we slowly parted lips.
"I have to go.." He said.
Sooner than I'd hoped, I was dropping him off at the school, he went and found his car, and drove away. I felt a pain in my stomach from that. From his urgency to leave me.
