The end of the dawn of the vampire. The gloves come off, and all hell breaks loose, and three important people meet a deathly hand.
Chapter 3: Entering the Shadows - Last Part
Shortly after the voices stopped, and the people stopped arguing, the room fell dark. Sergel thought at first when the lights dimmed down that he was going to die, then he thought he was already dead, and passing through to the afterlife. Then the old guy came, and picked Sergel up from the ground. Sergel's head was starting to pound, and everything was starting to blur in his eyes. Sergel starting to speak, but the man hushed him. "Do not speak unless talked to Sergel." Sergel rolled his eyes, and then he raised a hand. "Yes Sergel, what do you want." The old council member spoke. "May I ask you for a name and where you're taking me." Sergel replied sounding cautiously. "Merrill. Who was the guy that brought me here?" Sergel asked the council member with a voice dire with caution. Replying Merrill said, "The person name was Ramsey, now please don't speak."
The council member replied devilishly, "My name is too hard to pronounce, you just call me Merrill. I cannot tell you where I'm taking you, but you will find out as soon as we get there." So Sergel hushed up while they walked.
They walked along a long, desolate lit hallway for what seemed like hours. The hallway looked the same as the whole castle, large stone walls, and a large reddish-brown and golden trimmed throw rug across the large room. Several torches hang along the wall, every 5 or so feet. Finally they came to a large wooden door. There grand council member opened the door, and what was inside would baffle anybody who had seen the rest of the castle. The room's walls were metallic silver, and had a silvery luster. Several computers were around the room, and in the middle a large contraption stood that would make anybody cringe. A similar machine stood several feet away. Somebody was sitting in one of the machines, and the guy simply stared ahead, and then in a split of second he dropped to the floor. Sergel watched in horror, and began to panic. He tried to break free and run, but the grip the Merrill had on him was terribly hurtful.
Finally, somehow Sergel broke free, and began to run. The council member Merrill screamed out, and yelled for Sergel to be killed, and to make sure it was bloody. Sergel kept running through the castle, and not looking behind him. Sergel came out into a large open room with two towering cascading staircases. Sergel didn't see the staircases until it was too late; quickly he went tumbling down the staircase, and then rolling onto the floor. As he lifted through the pain he brought his head up and started at the group of hooded people in front of him. Sergel knew it was over, so he bowed his head, and begun to cry.

Blood covered the dark room, and several bloody corpses laid around the floor. Standing in the middle of the room was Ramsey with a devilish smirk across, and blood covering his hands. He cracked his fingers, and muttered, "I told them they couldn't kill me even if they tried." Then a loud bellowing sound rang across the castle. Ramsey knew what this was, and deep inside he wanted to stop it. He grabbed a vile, and filled it up with blood, and ran down the hall. Ramsey came out in the main entrance hall, and saw Sergel kneeling in front of several other people. Merrill was standing in front of Sergel, and a sword was raised above his head. Ramsey screamed, and he ran to the stairs as he reached the foot of the stairs he took a jump, and soared down like a rocket.
Ramsey gripped Merrill in his grasp, and tackled him down to the ground. For minutes Ramsey and Merrill wrestled; strength against strength. Ramsey got the better of Merrill, and started to punch him on the face. Punch after punch Ramsey scored on the council member. For a couple of seconds Merrill seemed to be out, and by now the other guards were starting to act. So while Ramsey had the time, he threw the vile of blood to Sergel, and then screamed to him, "Drink, and help me fight if you want to live."
At first Sergel looked at with much doubt, and disconcert. Then he opened the lid, and without a moment's notice chugged it. The blood tasted foul in Sergel's mouth, and seconds after drinking it, he was on the floor, his stomach churning wildly, his head thumping, and his heart charging rapidly. Several guards piled on top of Sergel, but then something happened. Sergel jumped up, and let a terrible roar. Something felt different in Sergel; he was stronger, his agility was faster, and he didn't know what was wrong; yet he didn't care what was going on. Sergel accepted his new powers, and attacked the guards. Several of the guards rushed towards Sergel, but quickly Sergel killed them.
Within mere minutes a pile of guards were lying around Sergel, and the floor was coated with blood; as he was to know. Sergel stared blankly at the piling corpses, and then switched his gaze over to the Ramsey, and Merrill fighting. They were moving faster than the blink of an eye. They looked like dancing shadowy silhouettes dancing across the big pallor room. Both swung punches, and both landed them to. Their faces were black, and blue. Blood covered their faces, and knuckles. Both fought gallantly, and were moving so fast that it got to the point to which you couldn't even see them anymore.
Ramsey was starting to weaken, and the old council member Merrill was acting as if he hadn't even broken a sweat. Giving it all he had Ramsey pushed forward driving himself and Merrill across the room at almost an impeccable speed. Ramsey closed his eyes, and kept driving. Then they collided with Sergel, and sent him flying across the room. Now that Sergel powers had worn off, he looked like a ragdoll flying across the room. Then when he hit the wall his skull shattered on impact, and his neck snapped. Ramsey watched in silent solitude. Even though he was just a mere mortal Ramsey had felt compassion for the little guy. It wasn't Sergel's fault that he and Marshall were caught while feeding.
If it wasn't for Merrill, he wouldn't have to have even come into contact with him, but there was no turning back. Ramsey was suddenly filled with rage, and force. He ran at Merrill and tackled him into the air. Now, Merrill wasn't even a good match for Ramsey, his force was drove by his anger, and he was as strong as all the vampires combined. They flew through the air and fought all the way; then they were stopped. A large torch had fallen off the wall when Sergel was thrown against, and now it was on the, ground point up, and protruding through Ramsey, and Merrill's heart. Blood flowed out their body as was their force. It wouldn't be long before it was over, and both knew it. Yet, Ramsey wanted to get it over quickly, so he reached over Merrill and grabbed the shaft of the torch, and pulled it towards them driving it more into their hearts. With one last strain of blood and life he pulled it forward again ending both their lives.

They thought I was dead, deforced. They only succeed in taking away my powers, but I still, my memory, and my life. Putting down my pen I closed the leather-bound book and just stared at the window. Now all I am is nothing but just a mere mortal, and at the same time I more than just a mortal. I got no powers that I honed before, but I have my memory, and sometimes the brain is more important than God like powers. To be honest it's easier being a human because you don't got to worry about feeding. I have everything I ever done, and I decided to use it. Switching my gaze back to the leather I flipped through the pages, and then closed it and signed my name on the front page; Marshall Donatello.
