David Letterman Admits to Affairs with Employees, Extortion Attempt
In a surprising move, David Letterman came clean during last night's episode of The Late Show and admitted to having sex with female employees.
We'll certainly be seeing some photos soon of the women whom David Letterman has been sleeping with over the years. Letterman revealed he has had several sexual relationships with female employees over the years and that he was the victim of an extortion attempt. An arrest has been made in the extortion attempt and, apparently, the suspect is a producer of the CBS news program, 48 Hours.
As one might expect, Letterman was self-deprecating and funny throughout his admission of guilt to his audience. Certainly, most in the audience were probably unsure of whether or now he was serious, but it turns out that he was, in fact, totally serious.
It is unclear as to the timeline of Letterman's sexual relationships with his employees and no names have been released - yet. But the man who attempted to extort $2 Million from Letterman is allegedly Robert J. Halderman, who is listed as a producer for 48 Hours.
Letterman explained to the audience that he found a package in his car one day with a note saying that someone knew of all the terrible things he had been doing. Letterman said that the package contained proof of his sexual relationships and that the letter asked for $2 Million for the information to be kept private. Letterman contacted the authorities and a small sting operation was set up between Letterman's lawyer and the extortionist. Ultimately, a fake check for $2 Million was given to the man and he was eventually arrested.
No word yet as to any comment from Letterman's wife and whether or not these relationships
