David Hasselhoff Relapses
Actor David Hasselhoff reportedly checked himself into a Los Angeles area hospital after suffering from a relapse.

Hasselhoff, 55, reportedly was hospitalized briefly after suffering from alcohol poisoning, but a source said he is "back home and doing fine." Hasselhoff’s publicist Judy Katz reportedly said, "David had a brief relapse and immediately recognized the importance of addressing it with the assistance of his doctors." He spent a few hours at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles before being released. There has been no word on whether or not his relapse will affect the custody arrangement for daughters Hayley, 15, and Taylor-Ann, 17.
Hasselhoff won physical custody of the girls in June after a bitter court battle with ex-wife Pamela Bach. For the past seven weeks Hasselhoff was in Europe filming Anaconda 3 and the girls have been staying with Bach. Bach said Wednesday, "I wish David the best. I just hope he gets better."
In May a video hit the Internet of Hasselhoff shirtless and drunk. He was slurring and trying to eat a hamburger and his daughter Taylor can be heard off camera pleading with him to stop drinking. Shortly after the video surfaced Hasselhoff came clean saying, "I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite [the fact] that I have been going through a painful divorce and have recently been separated from my children due to my work, I have been successfully dealing with my issue." He added, "Unfortunately, I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse." A mediation hearing is scheduled for Thursday to determine how his latest relapse will affect the custody arrangement.
