Daughters of Eve

I do however plan to write more books for the daughter of eve series so im asking all you guys who read to give me some ideas on what i could title this one!

Also can someone tell me how to load a picture up so i can show ya's what raven would look like!!

As I waited for Tera to show up for class i paced. I felt so off today, had woken with a splitting headache and a strange feeling in my gut. I had contemplated not going to school, but thought after a few disprin and a shower that I couldn’t skive off. Not today. Today was the day that marked the rest of my life; and not just mine but everyone in my entire year. Exams. And i had been studying so hard to get here. After today my life would be perfect, i would have made it an entire year and set my future.
"All set, Raven?" came Tera’s familiar voice, as she bounded up the stairs towards me,
"As ready as i’ll ever be," i replied as i turned to walk inside our school building,
"I stayed up so late last night doing revision," she replied,
"Did you get any sleep?" i asked her concerned, i really wanted Tera to do well too, as we both wanted to get into the same college and be roomies.
"Oh most definitely, i even slept through my alarm, why do you think i’m here so late?"
"Well atleast you made it on time,"
We walked quickly to our lockers and stuffed our bags inside, our first exam was maths, so calculators, pencils, erasers and rulers were our only tools needed.
"Good luck," Tera whispered to me from her desk across from mine,
"You too," i replied.

An hour later we exited our maths room and headed back to our lockers, one more exam before lunch and then we could relax just a little. Tera and i had different classes so she headed off towards her Biology exam and i hung around the lockers waiting for the classroom doors across the hall to open. My next exam was for Literature. As i sat in my seat i couldn’t help but feeling that same strangeness from this morning. I took deep breathes and glanced around at the rest of the class getting ready.
"Come on Raven, it’s just nerves," i told myself.
The teacher entered and handed out our papers, one hour to fill in all the answers and to write a short essay. Easy. But the nerves were just getting too much. My hands were shaking and i couldn’t make them stop. I found myself rushing through all the questions and quickly scribbled a paragraph for the essay, it was passable but not my best work. I found my hand had shot itself into the air and Mr Walker had come over quietly to see me,
"Yes Miss Dallis?" he whispered,
"I’ve finished," I quickly replied trying to keep my voice low,
"Already?" he asked surprised,
"Yes Sir,"
"Well if you’re sure," he gazed down at my hurried paper and then returned his eyes to mine, "Do you want to check your work?"
"No Sir, I have done all i can,"
"Very well, you may go,"
He took my paper from me and i quickly hurried from the room. What was wrong with me today. I stopped briefly by one of the water fountains and found i was seriously thirsty. Maybe i just needed something to eat. Half an hour later i saw Tera coming back to our lockers,
"Hey how was it?" she asked as she stuffed her things into her locker and grabbed her school bag,
"Oh, i finished quickly and left halfway through,"
She looked at me carefully,
"Are you okay Raven?" she asked with concern,
"Yeah i just need some food, the stress is making me hungry,"
"Okay well we’ll go to Newton’s for lunch, get out of school for a bit,"
I nodded in approval and together we left for the small restaurant a few blocks down from the school.

"It’s been awhile since we have eaten at Newton’s," Tera stated as we advanced towards the double doors,
"All the extra studying and stuff has kept us away," i replied as i pushed the doors open and entered. We walked towards a vacant table and sat down, dropping our bags by our feet. Tera grabbed one of the menus and began perusing it,
"Wow, they even have new stuff on the menu, look," she showed me the new menu and pointed out a picture of what looked like an octopus on a plate,
"Ew," i simply replied,
"Maybe they have new owners?" she said as she glanced around the cafe,
I grabbed the menu and quickly scanned through for something quick and easy,
"Fries and a coke," i stated aloud,
"Make that two," Tera replied, "Hey Raven look at the new waiter,"
I glanced to where she was pointing. A man was standing there taking an order from an older couple. He looked to be a college student, light brown hair that fell in front of his eyes, tall and burly.
"He’s hot," Tera stated, i glanced at her and saw her eyes had turned into two large o’s,
"You’re staring," i scolded as i kicked her under the table,
She quickly drew her eyes away and reached down to massage her shin,
"I couldn’t help it, he’s just so – wow,"
"Well ‘wow’ is on his way over to take our order,"
She quickly sat up straight in her chair and turned back to him,
"Hi, may i take your order?" he asked in such a smooth voice,
"Uh – sure, we would like 2 serves of fries and 2 cokes,"
"Please," i added,
His gaze slowly turned from Tera to me, as if he only just realised i was sitting there. As his eyes met mine i knew i should have skived off this morning. I knew my strange feelings hadn’t been due to nerves about exams. My body had been warning me, had been trying to tell me that i was no longer just Raven Dallis, year 12 high school student out to change her life. I was Raven Dallis, a daughter of eve. And i was now running for my freedom.
