Dasvidaniya – the Final Salute

In remembrance of the glories that man is capable of and also the follies of war that cost us the greatest resource - life...
Dasvidaniya – the Final Salute
To all my friends who dared
and won battles that we may breathe
free native air, rich and cool,
and rise up to meet every need...
-Dasvidaniya, I salute.

To those who created and harnessed
the forces of nature that we may use,
the outcome of their inquisitiveness
and enslavement as men refuse...
-Dasvidaniya, I salute.

To those who lived and walked by
the pathways strewn with scorn and pain
For us to know the path of light
and from strength to strength stand to gain...
- Dasvidaniya, I salute.

To the ones who knew not why or who,
but had to succumb to crazy thought
and the fight for some distant political intent
put an end to a peaceful lot.
-Dasvidaniya, I salute.

How many more are we going to claim
How many more lands to lease
The head that doles out war
Is also the one to fund peace.
-Dasvidaniya, I salute.
