Darling Child

Darling child, still a sparkle in your daddy's eye,
beloved and precious, made perfect and pure,
without blemish, created in the image of God.
You will be such a blessing, mamma's delight,
little baby, innocent and free,
at first dependant on me, but soon to grow up, leave the nest.
My heart swells, full of love for you,
my loving child, blessed child,
mamma loves you and prays for you.
