So here's chapter 7...
Chapter 7
Ashley's POV
2 days passed and Jen was finally allowed to leave the hospital. Christain had stayed by my side all the time since I said I wouldn't go home without Jen. I have the worst luck ever too. Today's the camping trip..and Jen can't go.
Christain walked Jen outside..I stayed behind. "Let's go ash!" he called out.
"You guys go..I'll be there in a while," I said.
I can call mia and she can tell the teacher that Jen got into an accident and her arm is broken and I have to stay with her. I took out my cell phone and before I could call..I felt a weird dark presence behind me. Like the king of devils had just approached me.
I turned and as I saw him my cell phone fell out of my hand, but he caught it. It was the first time I see Nick so anxious. As if he noticed me staring at him, he smiled...
"You're not hurt are you?" he asked. Before I could say anything he continued, "Not that I really care..but you saved me once so I want to make sure you're ok." He was lying I knew it. He did care. I smiled and took my cell phone from him.
"Just admit you're worried about me," I said.
This time he smiled, "You think?"
I nodded, "Got to go...see you around."
Just as I turned around, I saw Christain leaning against the wall at the end of the room. His arms were crossed and there was a creepy smile on his face. I loved that smile..mostly because it looked so dangerous, but right now it scared me.
I looked back at Nick who was also smiling, "If you can't take care of her like I can then let her go," he said.
I was about to protest, but Christain was next to me in a flash.."Want to test whose better?" he was looking at Nick..
"In the hospital?" Nick looked more serious now. "Outside," Christain replied. I just understood what they meant.
"STOP! Both of you are acting...childish. I'll see you later Nick," I said kissing him on the cheek. He smiled at me and walked away. "Let's continue next time," he told Christain.
"Let's go Christain!" I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the door, but he wouldn't budge. To be honest I was actually glad Nick left, cause his aura was just too strong. Every time he appears I feel his presence and my heart screams out danger..
"Christain!" I said. This time he followed me outside. He'd already sent Jen home with a nurse. "I need to make a call," I told him.
He nodded but didn't say anything. I called mia and told her everything, and she said she'd check with the teacher and call me back. Christain walked beside me silently, until I broke the silence. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"Let's go to the trip," he said out of the blue. "Huh?! why all of a sudden? You said you didn't want to go," I asked.
He caught my hand and pulled me toward a silver Volvo, "Hey, Joe. Can you drive us to school?" he asked the driver. "Master..It's safer not to go to the forest. What if they decide to attack at dawn or maybe as darkness falls?" he asked. I looked at both of them feeling annoyed. What's with the secretive talk? who are 'they'?
"Don't care. Drive us to school," he said opening the door for me. I went inside and he sat next to me..
Christain's POV
If we go to the trip I'll be with her for 2 weeks, but if I don't..then Nick might keep going to see her. I've noticed he actually does care about Ashley..but he's dangerous. He's a demon, and demons are forbidden to fall in love. They can only love other demons. I can also tell he regrets being one..his behavior seems to have changed. He rarely goes out to hunt werewolves anymore...instead he sits at a dark corner in his room and listens to loud music. I knew she was attracted to darkness..To me it's still impossible to believe that he's fallen in love..with a human to be exact.
If the others find out he's actually in love with a human and has been trying to fight for her..he'll be far more than dead. Not only that..they'll kill Ashley too. If it weren't that dangerous I wouldn't have minded her hanging out with him. That asshole still thinks he can protect her more than I can.
The real danger that I would bring her is the werewolves and the demons. Werewolves hate demons and dark angels..they would do anything to destroy us or even make us miserable. Demons..well, demons hate heavenly creatures. Not that I'm really that heavenly...but I came to this world from the dead. I can stay on the world as long as I want..but after I die again, if most of the things I did are bad, like killing and worse stuff then I become a demon. If most of the stuff I did are good and only some are bad then I'm a dark angel. If everything I did was good then I'm just an angel in heaven. I died twice, so I can't die anymore unless I'm burned..then that would mean I'm destroyed.
Demons on the other hand die only if you cut off their head. Nick might be a demon but he never tried to hurt me. We both hate each other but he's the only relative I have on Earth so better not kill him with my own hands. Although, killing a demon counts as something good. Most angels are demon hunters.
"Christain? we're here," ashley said. She got out and walked inside ahead of me.
I went inside after her. She was talking to the teacher. God! this is going to be boring.
"Christain! What are we going to do now? We didn't bring anything with us," ashley said. She was right. "I'll tell Joe to get the stuff. He'll know where to find us," I said.
'Of course he would know..they're all a bunch of secretive weirdos,' she has great ways of describing us. I snorted and pulled her towards me. Her beautiful black eyes stared into mine. Her mind got confused like last time..not knowing weather she really likes me or not. A frown crossed her face. Her long black hair was covering her right eye. I pushed her hair aside and for an instant it felt like it was only me and her. No one else was there..nothing else. Only me and her in a dark room.
"What are you doing? Did you forget we're still in class?" she finally said. I backed away quickly and she sat next to me. "You don't look ok," she sounded worried and I hated that.
I smiled, "No..but I will be ok if you kiss me."
She blinked twice and looked around her uncomfortably. "Fine. Forget it," I said.
The teacher was too busy arranging everything and everyone else was busy talking..no one would have noticed. I caught her hand and walked out of the class. No one noticed.
"Do it now," I said, "No one is here."
She looked down and I could actually hear her heart beating fast. After a while she stood on her tiptoes and kissed me....on the cheek. Wow! All this for that! I actually laughed.
"What's funny?" she asked. I leaned closer and kissed her. 'You kissing me on the cheek,' I thought...
