Dark Love - ch.3

The ruler, Mr. Night, walking around in his domain, his city. He can do anything he wants, kiss any girl, steal from shops, have free cars; he can't get into trouble. People fear him, must be the way he is; secretive including he's a vampire.
I NEED A BEER. he thought. WHERE IS THE CLOSEST BEER DISTRIBUTOR?
He looked up and there's Zippies Pizza.
"They have good beer, not quite a pizza fan, but I already ate." he said and thought about Steph.
Then he entered the shop. A woman, Tina, came to him.
"Hello Mr. Night. How may I help you tonight?" she shuddered a bit.
"I just want a beer, that's it." he smoothly said. "I can seat myself, if you don't mind."
"Sure. Go on ahead. I'll bring your beer out in a minute or so." she said.
He walked around the corner and no one was here except a young woman; brunette, medium height, and light green eyes.
"Hello. Are you new?" he asked.
"Yeah." Erika smiled. "Just got here today for my new job."
"Can I sit with you?" he asked.
"Yes you can. I'm bored, have no friends except this girl from the train; Steph Leo." she sighed.
That struck a nerve, he just killed her only friend here. He have to keep his mind off this subject.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Erika Peters."
"I'm Thomas Night." he whispered. "No one knows my first name, except you. Don't tell anyone."
"Your secret is safe with me." she giggled.

Tina came over with the pizza and a mug.
"Oh, your sitting with her. Probably better than sticking around the office." she said while laying down the mug and pizza. "Enjoy."
Tina left and Erika opened the box up.
"Do you want some pizza, Thomas." she asked.
"It's yours." he replied while watching her beautiful green eyes.
"I won't be able to eat the whole thing." she smoothly said.
"Fine." he surrendered.
They ate the pizza together. The smells and different thoughts swirled around.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing in a big city like this?"
Erika was shocked, he called her pretty. "I'm a doctor. You probably think I'm weird." she sighed.
"No, you are different. You seem like a very nice lady. There hasn't been a doctor her since five years. People been relying on gut instinct and medicine whenever it works right."
"I guess tomorrow I'll see how bad it is." Erika smirked and ate the last bite. "Well, I should be going back home."
"Let me take you home." he quickly said.
"No, I'm fine."
Their bills came and Thomas grabbed both of them. He went to the cash register.
"Hey, I'll pay my bill!" she shouted.
"I ate some of your pizza and I am taking you home." he smoothly said.

Erika rolled her eyes and walked outdoors. MEN, HAVE TO BE DOMINATING. she thought. The wind from the cars whipped by her. A guy her size came out of the ally, right in front of her with a gun.
"Give me you purse, ma'am." he deeply said.
"No!" Erika shouted.
The mugger pushed her to the wall, trying to take the purse away.
Thomas stopped behind him and tapped his shoulder.
"Leave the lady alone!" he growled.
Both, Erika and the mugger jumped at the growl. The mugger looked at Erika to Thomas and ran away.
"Are you alright? He didn't hurt you right?" he softly said.
HE'S PROTECTING ME! she happily thought. "I'm fine. Just startled."
They walked together until they reached Erika's apartment. She found her keys and unlocked the door.
"Thanks for everything. Hope to see you sometime soon." she smiled.
"Yeah. Just be careful, alright." he demanded and left.
