Dark Love-ch.2
Got to her apartment and finding food...
Getting a taxi was easy, they want money. Erika's apartment is small, bedroom and a kitchen, reasonable price. She placed her luggage in the bedroom and sighed. Pulling out her cell phone and punched some numbers; a soft, sweet voice picked up.
"Mom." Erika said.
"Erika! I'm glad you called." she happily said.
"Yeah, just got to my apartment. This city is like always dark." she said.
"Well, that's why it's called Dark City." silence. "Met anyone?" mom asked.
"Yeah, a girl name Steph. She's cool." Erika smirked.
"That's good. Well, I'm cooking supper. Call back anytime. We love you." she strongly said.
"I love you and dad, too." she smiled and turned the cell off. She slipped her cell in her pocket thinking of food. Grabbing her pocket purse, finding a restaurant shouldn't be hard.

She exited the apartment entering the dark city. Groups of people rushing to get to their homes from work. The smell of pizza floated in the air. Erika followed the scent and she ended up at a pizza parlor; Zippies Pizza.
The place is empty and a young, slender, blonde, blue eyed woman walked over to Erika.
"Is this for take-out or here." her voice gentle.
"Here." Erika said.
The woman took Erika to a booth.
"What would you like to drink?" the woman politely asked.
"Coke be fine."
The woman briskly walked away and silence came again. A newspaper sitting at the other booth, Erika grabbed it.
"Dark Times." she muttered under her breath.
A lot of news on crimes. Young women gone missing. Erika shivered and put the paper back. The woman came back.
"Here's your coke." she sat the pop down. "What would you like on your pizza?"
"Pepperoni and extra cheese."
"Alright. My name is Tina. Your pizza will be done in twenty minutes." she left.
"Mom." Erika said.
