Daniel fast is based on the biblical teachings. The fast is followed in accordance with the fast followed by Daniel, the Man of God. The aim of this fast is to bring the followers closer to God. It was Daniel, one of the Prophet or Man of God, who started with the Daniel fast, which is a 21 day spiritual fast. When Prophet Daniel was fasting, he abstained from wine, meats and all good foods. Therefore, there are some people, who strictly follow the fast and stick to fruits, vegetables and water only. However, when you are on Daniel fast, there is only as much you can eat and not all that you can find in the kitchen. The Daniel fast food list contains some of the simplest things, we often do not take into consideration, when we are not actually fasting.

Trail Mix
One of the healthiest snacking option, when you are on Daniel fast. It is not only healthy, but tasty as well as satiating snack option. It does not take long to make it, neither does it get spoiled, if you do not consume the same day. It will also help in curbing your appetite. All you will have to take a small quantity of each of the nuts and you can carry it with you, when you go to school or while going to work. Include nuts like raw almonds, cashew halves, walnut halves, raisins, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. in the trail mix. If you make the mix in large quantities make sure you store it in an airtight container.

Tortillas Wraps
Among the Daniel fast recipes, this is one of my favorite for the versatility it has to offer. You can either buy the whole wheat tortillas or choose to make them at home from whole wheat flour. Use the tortillas to either make a veggie wrap, using your favorite vegetables or baked beans or with salsa. These are some of the easiest options, you can also use your imagination to come up with some great tortilla wrap recipes.

Soups
Apart from the spiritual reasons, if you are doing the Daniel fast for weight loss, then this is an option, which you will want to use to the maximum. Using the different vegetables, you can make a number of soups. Sometimes, they can be the clear soups and sometimes they can be broths, depending on your choice. Lentil soups are also a great option, which are also rich in proteins. They will give you a good change from the regular vegetable soups that you consume.

Vegetables with Dips
On the Daniel fast menu, you would want to include this fast snack very easily. If the dips are made in advance, you will not have to bother about making it every time, you feel hungry. One of the easiest to make is the yogurt dip, followed by the hummus, guacamole, etc. Both these dips are rich in protein, which will ensure you do not feel hungry and are satiated for a long period of time. Although peanut butter is not a dip, it can also be used as a dip to be consumed with different fruits and vegetables.

Fruits
Simplest and easy to carry around snack foods are the fruits. You can carry fruits like apples, oranges, sweet lime, figs, etc. with you, when you are on the go. One does not have to be bothered about putting it up together. If you have a desk job, then you can also cut fruits like watermelons and carry it with you to work.

Soy Products
There are a number of Daniel fast snack recipes, which use soy products. According to some dairy products are not to be consumed during the fast period, while others do consume dairy products. For people, who do not consume dairy products, soy products is a good choice. One can snack on seasoned tofu. Soy milk is also a great snacking option, when on Daniel fast.

Along with the wonderful Daniel fast snacks option, you should also consume sufficient quantity of water. Often we misread the cues given to us by our body and end up eating more. It is often seen, that thirst is misread as hunger, which causes piling of weight.
