Dangerously Scorned - 7

"I'm sorry Angel." He replied, sullenly.
I will give you what you seek,
So remember my darling, My sweet little dear,
I am never far in fact I'm always near,
Since I am the woman forgotten,
I am a woman scorned.

ANGEL

"No." She screamed, his rough hand grasping her, dragging her away from her lonely cage. She struggled in his grip trying to find some way to wrench her hand from his. She thought many times of biting him but, she was weakened from what Victor did to her, she decided not to take the chance. He ignored her protest as he dragged her to a large room. Decorated in dark chestnut-brown, covered with swords and bookshelves. The room slightly reminded her of the library they had at their house. She missed home very badly, she missed her mom her dad, aunt and uncle. How had this become of her, she thought wildly. When they were inside the room, he knocked her toward the ground. Breathing heavily, Angel looked up only to glare into his eyes which peered at her wondrously.

"What am I going to do with you?" He purred softly to himself as if enjoying her attempted struggles. The door's swung wide open and in walked Dominic. She let out a quiet sigh of relief, but inside her heart was pumping erratically. Was he here to save me? He cast a glance at her then at the men who had taken her from her cell.

"Raphael what's going on?" He asked quietly, trying to lower his voice so that she couldn't hear. But she could hear them perfectly. "I'm done waiting for Summer to come around. I want to do it tonight and I'm going to use her. Now." He stalked away from Dominic and towards a small desk in the corner of the room. Concern crossed Dominic's features as he took stolen glances at Angel.

"Are you sure you want to do that. The girl may not be strong enough or it could kill her." Raphael turned around quickly, one eyebrow quirked and a frown on his face. "Do you care about the girl?" He asked menacingly. With a sharp nod Dominic replied, "No." Angel's eyes widen, her heart felt like it was about to burst from heartbreak. "Good so you agree with me". "Yes I agree that we should use the girl". A loud gasp escaped her throat, he had lied to her he wasn't going to protect her. He was going to let her die. She loathed him to the core now. He glimpsed at her from out of the corner of his eye, she scowled giving him a I-wish-you-would die-look. He didn't seem to notice yet instead continue to stare. She thought she felt that familiar thump in her chest but she brushed it off since it was nothing.

"What about Victor and Summer?" Dominic asked. "Victor had personal business to attend to, while Summer left a few days ago." "Do you want me to summon her?"
"No need." A woman called from the doorway, her hand was placed on the side of her head. Angel thought she could see dried blood in her dark curly hair. Summer walked toward Raphael and as soon as she was close enough. He reached back his hand and slapped her hard. Summer cried out in pain, dropping to the floor and blood rushing out of her nose. Gently she touched her nose, wiping away the blood.

"You stupid girl." He yelled fiercely. "Where have you been?" He demanded. She cowered in his presence, looking at Dominic but then her eyes widen when she noticed Angel. It was if she had seen a ghost. Her eyes didn't leave Angel's as Raphael wrenched her onto her feet. Angel stared back, she knew that woman. She used to watch her at night. Angel gasped she knew that they were probably planning on killing her. The atmosphere in the room became even more dreary than before. Summer reached out her free hand to touch Angel. Causing Dominic to let a low warning growl. He stepped forward just in case Summer's hand touched her. Angel scooted backwards away from her, she didn't want to be touched all she wanted was to go home.

"What's going on," Summer muttered. Raphael released her, she stumbled backwards her eyes still on Angel.
"I'm going to use the child tonight." He told her. "No," she yelled loudly. Raphael's eyes grew enlarged, he took a long step forward and she took one long step back. "Are you defying me," he growled deeply, she didn't reply only took another step backwards. "Remember darling I made you, I control you and trust me I can break you too." He warned her, carefully. She nodded hastily, finally ripping her eyes away from Angel.

"Get the girl Dominic, I want to start as soon as possible." He ordered. Dominic nodded slowly walking towards her. She scooted backwards away from him. He stepped over her, grasped her arms and lifted her onto his shoulder. "Dominic what are you doing?" She whispered into his ear.

"I'm sorry Angel." He replied, sullenly carrying her out of the room. Sorry? She wondered what he meant about that and what exactly was he sorry about that. He quietly carried her out at the back of the mansion, into a dark field. Her attention caught a large blazing fire. It resembled a large bonfire, the way the cinders danced into the dark sky. He slowly removed her off his shoulder, his eyes in taking her appearance once more. His warm hand lounged on her, then roughly pushed her into the fire. She screamed in surprise, the flames burned her, but she knew she would heal. She fell inside the center of the fire, where three rings of blood were drawn. She knew what these rings were, one on the left for the mind, one on the right for the heart and the center for soul. Oh god they were really going to kill her. She tried to form the center, but the flames increased burning her more ferociously, the pain too intense to bear even for a vampire. She was trapped. Whimpering in fear, she screamed, "Daddy." Rapheal's low laugh caused her to stop screaming.

"He's not coming for you. In fact no one is." He stood in front of her, a wicked smile in place, she stepped back, pleading silently for help. "Ready to change the world," he asked, a sliver dagger clenched tight in his hand.

CAMRYN

She knocked onto the door, praying she was here. The door opened slowly and Abbie appeared in a long white t-shirt and shorts. She rubbed her eyes, then smiled wide when she saw Camryn. "Cam," she yelped happily, enveloping her in a large hug. Camryn stepped away smiling until she noticed Abbie's expression. She must look horrible, hair mixed with dirt, clothes ripped, tattered and covered in smoke.

"What happened?" She asked ushering them in. She offered them a change of clothes which they took graciously. Alexandra tied her hair in a ponytail, then asked if she could use the phone. Abbie nodded, pointing her in the direction of the kitchen. Camryn took in Abbie's appearance once more than asked shyly, "Do you have company over?'" She laughed lightly "I did he just went out for a moment." "So what happened?" She asked changing the subject.

"Someone blew up our house." She replied somberly. Abbie gasped loudly, "How? Is Adrian and James okay?" "Actually I don't know, I couldn't reach them and Alexandra been trying to call James since Adrian's phone is disconnected." She sobbed softly. She touched a hand to her shoulder, offering some comfort because she seemed like she needed it.

"They took Angel" She said in between sobs. "Oh my gosh Camryn, do you know who they were?" "No, but I have a feeling it was someone from the past. Hopefully Adrian knows who." She prayed that her words held some truth, as much as she wanted to believe that someone other than Summer took Angel, she knew deep within her heart that she did.

"Good news," Alexandra announced from the kitchen. "James phone is working. I left him a message to meet us here and hopefully he got it. Thanks again Abbie." '"Don't mention it," she smirked. Camryn wiped some tears from her eyes.

"Cam it's going to be alright," Alexandra told her. "We're going to regroup with Adrian and James and find a way to save Angel." A quick knock on the door made them all jump, Abbie rushed to the door and opened it. James trudged in with a limp Adrian hanging onto his shoulder.

"Adrian," she squealed rushing to him, he stumbled a bit but held her close as he wrapped his arms around her. She could practically pick him up, he was weak and there were tiny scars on his face. "What happened?" She asked worried. "I could ask you the same thing." He mumbled. "What happened to the house." She glanced down, "Summer blew it up." He groaned from frustration, she helped him sit down onto the couch. She offered him her wrist, which he denied at first then took happily. She moaned lightly when he bit into her wrist, she felt the blood being taken but she didn't mind it was for him. Abbie went to the kitchen for some towels, to help wipe the dried blood for Adrian's face and body. When he was done, he released her wrist, which healed up quickly, she could sense the energy leaping off him, he was stronger. She told him and James everything that happened since they were gone. When they were finished Adrian's face had gone red with anger.

"She probably had someone take Angel while she held me captive." He said frustrated. "It doesn't make sense why would she take Angel," James asked. "Because she and Camryn are my world, she knows hurting them will hurt me." Adrian replied taking Camryn's hand in his. "I know Adrian but what so important about now, she couldn't have taken Angel long before she wasn't able to use her powers." Alexandra reminded them.
"We know but there has to be something that Angel didn't have when she was younger." Camryn said out loud.

Adrian's eyes widen as if he just saw something amazing. "Her power," he said triumphantly. They all gawked at him, confused. "When Angel was a baby she wasn't powerful enough to do most of her tricks. Maybe Summer was just lying in wait for her powers to grow." "But even at her full potential Angel wouldn't be strong enough to many things," James replied. "Maybe but there is the possibility that she absorbed some of Camrny's powers. That would make her strong enough." Camryn's, mouth dropped she had never thought of anything like that, she thought when she had been turned her powers had been lost. She never even once thought of Angel absorbing them, it could be a possibility they all had to consider.

"So if it's true and Angel has become stronger. How are you going to find her?" Abbie asked quietly from her seat. How were they going to find her? "We can try to reach her telepathically" Camryn rushed out. Adrian's face lit up but then he frowned, "I don't know if that's possible love. She was the one who called out to us." Camryn sunk back into the couch dismayed, she didn't know what else they could do. Unless Angel could reach them, they had no hope. That was what she needed the most right now. Adrian took her hand and placed a long soft kiss on it. "Don't worry love, we'll find her." She wanted to believe him so badly but they didn't even know where Summer was so how could they find her. They had no evidence, their house was burned along with their computer and everything else. What could they do?
Another knock at the door sent all their heads up. Abbie answered the door, squealed joyfully then stepped outside. It must have been her guest Camryn guessed with a smile.

"We can't sit here doing nothing," Alexandra concluded. "I know I hate to say it but we must call the leaders." Adrian replied trying to hide his dislike of that idea. They nodded in agreement. A shrill scream sounded through their ears. Camryn rushed to the door and opened, Abbie lay on the floor griping her head in pain, she was still screaming. "Abbie," Camryn murmured bending down to her, she looked up to see a man standing over her. A devious smile spread over his face as he noticed her expression. She growled thinking she was about to wipe that smile off his face.

She crouched up to attack him but a sudden pain hit her like a knife to the heart. The pain was intense, searing all around her brain and back again. She sank to the floor holding her head in pain, what was he doing to her. She crawled back to the room to see everyone on the floor holding their heads. "Adrian," she gasped struggling for the words to come out. The man grasped her arm flipping her onto her back, he stood over her. His smile growing wider as he watched her struggle increase. "Don't fight it Camryn. It's only going to get worse," he promised sincerely. She growled weakly at him then succumbed to the heart breaking pain that wound itself through her body.
