Dangerous Dogs in the World

How do you define a dog that is dangerous or a threat to people? Can dogs really be labelled as such? Let us discuss this subject in this article in an elaborate manner.
Before I begin, I would like to stress on this fact that no dog must be attributed to be a dangerous animal, based on its breed. It is the kind of training and also the temperament of the dog owner, which comes into play in any dog being a dangerous one or not. Stray dogs may be dangerous due to obvious reasons. However, if you find a pet dog showing a very aggressive nature, it is the master to be held responsible for. On the other hand, we cannot ignore the fact that there are some dogs who have unstable temperament than others. But then, such dogs do not bear any personal grudge against any one, which would make it lay an attack for no reasons. If you do not provoke them, they stay at peace!

Another important fact I would like to bring forward is that a dog might bear a dangerous personality only because it might not be aware about its own strength. They too have instincts. If we can forget about good manners, is it unusual for them to forget theirs? Absolutely not; they are animals! This article, does not in any way portrays any hideous or nasty character of these animals. They are just like any other lovable animal, hungry for love, affection and care. By attributing them as dangerous, I am only showcasing their instinct and what they are capable of. Also note that if any animal turns aggressive, it might be due to factors such as disease, provocation, improper handling, lack of socialization and as mentioned, improper training.

Pit Bull
The title of the most dangerous dog on earth undisputedly belongs to the pit bull. This dog has been ranked according to the number of attacks and severity of the attacks. The dog has an instinct to reach for the neck and lock its jaws on the throat. This is what, perhaps, makes it to be the most dangerous among all other canines. The pit bull can weigh 55 to 65 pounds on an average.

Rottweiler
Weighing a weighty 100 to 130 pounds, the rottweiler is an example of strength, robustness and protection. The animal is very particular about its territory and does not prefer strangers and other dogs. It is regarded to be a guard at heart and it was in fact, bred for the same purpose. The aggressiveness of this creature brings an additional responsibility for its owner to help it control its temper.

German Shepherd
Smart, stout, intelligent, beautiful and obedient! Such are the qualities of the German Shepherd. This breed enjoys lots of physical activity comprising long walks and active games. Bearing a fearless and confident temperament, the German Shepherd dog breed was previously used for grazing sheep. It weighs 70 to 100 pounds, averagely. It makes for a great home guard, guide dog, family companion and has a befitting role as the police K-9 unit.

Husky
When it comes to novices, you sure don't want to go with a Husky. This type of dog breed, although respected for its loving and gentle temperament, is a difficult animal to be trained by beginners. 44 to 66 pounds is the average measure of the weight of this animal.

Alaskan Malamute
Being highly energetic and active, the Alaskan Malamute constantly needs to move around and flex its muscles. Considering this nature, it is a good choice to house this breed if you happen to stay in a village. This is due to the fact that if your pet do not find ample opportunities to play and let out its energy, it may become aggressive and sometimes destructive. However, when all things are in place, this gorgeous looking relative of the wolf, can amaze you with its intelligence and high devotion towards your family.

Doberman Pinschers
This canine is usually a target of a mistaken stereotype of ferocity and aggression. Perhaps, this intuition which most people have developed regarding the Doberman Pinscher is due to its physical appearance. But the truth is, even this breed makes for an extremely loving companion, which is equally protective, alert, loyal and intelligent. It is highly sociable with humans and other dogs, as well. The Doberman weighs 65-90 lbs.

Chow Chow
Only if you know and have trained the Chow Chow well, you can cuddle it like a fuzzy, giant teddy bear. Studies show that the animal is independent often focused only on its own needs. So be cautious if you do not know the animal very well. It may seemed to be aloof and not in the need to be attended at most of the time. However, constant physical activity and communication is necessary for it to stay healthy. Average weight is 50-70 lbs.

Presa Canario
The Presa Canario weighs 80-115 lbs. In ancient times, this breed was bred for hunting and war. This canine is known to possess the ability to stop a man, ultimate power and sheer fearlessness. However, these qualities take their form when the situation demands so. Otherwise, the animal is extremely gentle and noble with its family, having great affection and loyalty for its owner and suspicion towards strangers.

Boxer
The name's Boxer! Don't regard this animal to be aggressive only because of its name. A bright, energetic and playful breed it is; the Boxer dog loves to play with kids and is great in recognizing family members. However, aggressive games must be kept out of its play time and also remember to take the animal for long walks. The Boxer, is also a difficult animal to train, but with patience and love, it responds well. Weight measures 50-70 lbs.

Dalmatian
The animal fancies running outdoors and staying active and energetic at most times. This breed has a protective nature, is intelligent and independent and can be aggressive towards humans (but only when provoked). It is also popular for having an excellent memory and can weigh 40-70 lbs.

Dogs are not dangerous by nature, but when they are, there are certain reasons to it. So if you find a pit bull growling at you, then it is either you who might have annoyed the animal, or it is the owner, who, perhaps, has not fulfilled his responsibility well.
