Dandelions - Preface

She's just a girl that refuses to look. And he's just a boy that'll make her.
I've asked for all chapters in Escaping Love, When Opposites Attract, The Difference Between you and Me and Definitely Not Average to be deleted. They are shallow and unworthy. They make me ashamed and they were useless.

All future chapters are dedicated to Cassie. Un-reality is so beautiful, isn't it? But it's real to you. And it's real to me. Who is anyone to say that what is real to us is not real? Just know that I'm looking at the sky tonight, and I'm thinking of you. See you in Dreamland.

It’s dark out.

The rain is the only thing in the world in motion; everything else is still and the loneliness it emanates creeps into my bones. Streetlights aren’t flickering, streetlights aren’t dead but their constant glow has my gaze, and I could get lost forever.

My hands, clutching the front of my sweatshirt, drag it up to my mouth and I breathe into it. The warmth that radiates back at me is soothing, and so I close my eyes.

It’s hard to believe there’s a world out there when your eyes aren’t open to see it.
