Damask Border Designs for Cake & Wall Trims
The first step when thinking of a damask design painting project, is to choose the right type of damask stencils. There are hundreds of designs of damask, and various types of damask designs. Hence, select a stencil pattern which goes with decor. Sometimes, damask stencils are used to create beautiful cake designs too. In such a case, go with a nice border stencil for cakes. You can use it on 2 or more tier cakes, to create elegant designs on the sides of the cake. A bigger sized border designs can be used to decorate the wall trims or for painting a beautiful border just below the ceiling.
Damask on Furniture
You can also use the border designs of appropriate design to create a stencil art on the headboard of the bed or on the foot board. For spray painting furniture with damask stencil, make sure you keep the work area clean. The best way to use stencil on any surface when spray painting is to first clean the surface well, and make sure it is dust free. Then on one side of the stencil use adhesive spray, then place it on the desired surface and stick it properly. Then use spray paint can, hold it perpendicular to the surface and in straight left to right motion spray paint. Then slowly take off the stencil and let it dry.
Damask on Walls

Just download a good geometric design, and get it printed on a thick paper. Geometric designs work the best as they can be replicated, to create wall painting stencil art. However, when selecting a design it is important that you select the right pattern of the stencil. Using a heavy pattern in a small room, will make size of the room more evident. So, select elegant designs of damask pearl bow damask, damask designs which have spaces between them. Heavy or large sized designs can be used on walls of large sized rooms.
Damask on Upholstery
You can use damask stencils to paint pillow cases, bed sheets, table cloth, lamp shades, etc. Again make sure you select the appropriate design. If you want a classic look you can go with a blue and white stencil art. But, if you wish to be bold, then go with color combination of brown and white, or a light shade background, and a dark shade design. For example, off-white cream background and a yellow damask stencil art. If you are using bold colors like red or green on upholstery or walls, then go with toned down shades to make them less eye-catching but still elegant looking.
