If your skin is oily you must be tired of keeping it away from that annoying shine. You might be washing it a number of times, but that oily look would appear again. Moreover, oily skin is more prone to acne and pimples. It makes you look tired and greasy. Oily skin would affect your appearance and make you look unattractive. You might have tried a number of products for your skin, but won't have achieved desired results. So, you would be wondering what needs to be done for the skin? Remember that following a regular routine is a must. Your skin needs special care and hence, you must adopt a healthy routine for yourself. Here is a perfect and good daily skin care routine for oily skin.

Cleansing

Cleansing is the most essential part. Keeping your skin clean is very difficult as it attracts more dirt. You can opt for a good quality cleanser specially-designed for your skin. You can look for one containing silica, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide which will absorb excess oil. You must wash your face at least twice a day, in the morning and at night. Washing face after traveling is also essential to get rid of dust collected on the face. You can use lemon juice as a perfect cleanser. You can apply lemon juice over face and wash it off after a few minutes to have a clean skin. You can also mix lemon juice with oats or skim milk powder, or yogurt to have a perfect cleanser. Try using Kiwi which can be the best cleanser. Remember that over washing your skin can also lead to acne breakout, so do not wash it more than thrice a day, unless it gets dirty.

Toning

You must use a toner after cleansing your face. A toner helps contract and firm up your skin. It also tightens the skin and closes the pores opened due to the cleansing process. This helps reduce the oil secretions from skin and hence keeps the oiliness away. A toner lowers the skin's pH and eradicates oil and dirt that the cleanser didn't remove. You can also use it during the day to keep the skin oil free and refresh it without the use of cleansers. Over use of toner might make your skin feel dry because it usually contains alcohol. If this is the case, you can reduce its use. This usually does not happen in case of extremely oil skin.

Moisturizing

The oily skin also needs to be moisturized. You can lightly dab the moisturizer over your skin after toning it. Opt for water-based and oil-free moisturizers. These are light, get absorbed quickly and won't leave your face greasy. You can apply loose face powder to give a perfect matte look to your face.

Exfoliating

This will help to get rid of dead cells and give you a fresh look. Exfoliating will remove the dirt over your skin and reduce the oily appearance. You can make a scrub and exfoliate skin at home. To make a scrub, use equal parts of lemon juice and sea salt. Gently scrub your face for 3-5 minutes and wash it off with cold water. You will have clean, soft and non-greasy skin after this natural skin care exercise. Remember not to be too harsh while exfoliating skin. Exfoliating skin once a week is the best way to prevent acne. You can exfoliate extremely oily skin twice a week. Also, keep in mind, not to exfoliate if there is acne breakout.

Remember that oily skin requires extra care. You must keep away hot water while washing your skin. Water at room temperature is best to be used while washing your face. Adopting the above mentioned tips will help you get rid of that greasy and unclean looking face. Daily skin care will ensure that you have a fresh look for the entire day.
