Custard Pie Recipes

Pie Recipe with Coconut

Ingredients Required
  • One cup grated coconut
  • Four eggs
  • Two cups milk
  • One cup sugar
  • Half cup flour
  • Half cup melted butter
  • One teaspoon of vanilla essence
Procedure

Take a large bowl and put four eggs, half cup flour, one cup sugar and two cups of milk in it. Take a spatula and beat the mixture for about five minutes. Now add half cup melted butter, a teaspoon of vanilla essence and one cup grated coconut to this mixture and beat again for about one minute. Keep the mixture on the side and meanwhile, grease the pie plate. Set the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for about forty five minutes. After forty five minutes, take out the pie from the oven. A delicious coconut custard pie is now ready.

Pumpkin Custard Pie

Ingredients Required
  • Unbaked shells
  • One large can of pumpkin
  • One cup sugar
  • Four eggs
  • Two teaspoons cinnamon
  • Two teaspoons ginger
  • Two teaspoons nutmeg
  • Three cups of milk
  • Half cup of melted butter
Procedure

Take a large bowl and put one large can of pumpkin, one cup sugar, two teaspoons cinnamon, four eggs, two teaspoon each of ginger and nutmeg in it. Mix all the ingredients properly. Now take a pan, and pour three cups of milk and butter in it. Heat the pan and after about two minutes, pour the contents of the pan into the mixture prepared earlier. Mix properly. Now pour this mixture into the unbaked shells and keep in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about twenty minutes.

Pie Recipe with Chocolate

Ingredients Required
  • Five cups of milk
  • Two cups of sugar
  • Four egg yolks
  • Five tablespoons of cornstarch
  • Two tablespoons of melted butter
  • Five ounces of melted baking chocolate
  • One teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Gelatin
  • A large, baked pie crust (preferably, nine inches)
Procedure

Take a pan and pour five cups of milk, two cups of sugar and about five tablespoons of cornstarch in it. Cook this mixture on low heat for about five minutes, till it thickens a bit. You may stir continuously to prevent the mixture from sticking to the base of the pan. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl put four egg yolks and beat them till they become fluffy. Now add the eggs to the pan and continue heating the mixture. After about two minutes, remove the mixture from the stove and add two tablespoons of melted butter, five ounce of baking chocolate and one teaspoon vanilla essence to the mixture. Now take the unflavored gelatin and dissolve it in water. Put this into the mixture too. Without any further delay, pour this mixture into the prebaked pie shell. Keep in the refrigerator for about six hours before serving.

Using Lemon

Ingredients Required
  • Three lemons
  • Four eggs
  • One cup of sugar
  • One tablespoon of melted butter
  • Pastry pie crusts (in paste form)
Procedure

Beat four eggs and one cup of sugar in a bowl, until the mixture becomes fluffy. Now take out the juice of three lemons and add to this mixture. Grate the rind of the lemon too and add. Pour one tablespoon of butter on this mixture and stir properly to mix everything together. Take a pan and pour this mixture in it. Heat until the mixture thickens, then remove from the heat. Now grease a deep pie plate and pour the pastry pie crusts paste in it. Bake till it attains a golden color. Remove it from the oven and pour the mixture prepared earlier in it. Now bake again in the oven at 150 degrees Fahrenheit till it gets a light brown color.

Recipe with Evaporated Milk

Ingredients Required
  • Pre-baked pie crust (nine inches)
  • Four eggs
  • One cup melted butter
  • One cup sugar
  • One cup whole milk
  • One cup evaporated milk
  • One tablespoon vanilla extract
Procedure

Take a large bowl and mix together four eggs, one cup sugar, one cup melted butter, one cup whole milk, one cup evaporated milk and one tablespoon vanilla extract. Pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour the mixture in the pie crust and keep it in the oven for baking for about forty five minutes. Bake till the pie gets a golden brown color. Remove the pie from the oven and keep it in the refrigerator for around six hours.
