Boredom bothers everyone when life becomes monotonous. Read on to know how to cure boredom at work as well as in class.

How to Cure Boredom
- Call your friends, put on a nice, funny movie, make popcorn or order pizza and have a good time. Even watching television, or listening to music together will help.
- How about getting a makeover? Mix and match outfits, try on a new nail paint, have a bubble bath or have your haircut or colored. This will keep you busy for a long time and help head off boredom.
- If you are alone, trying crossword or sudoku puzzles can also reactivate your mind and cure boredom. You can choose from a list of hobbies to overcome boredom.
- If being at home bores you, go out, explore some new areas in your city, take a walk, cycle, take your dog for a walk, etc.
- If you wish to do something more creative and worthwhile, you can volunteer for some activity in your area. You can work for the homeless or even help children.
- Head to the gym or take aerobic dance lessons if you find that you are bored every evening because you have nothing else to do. Plan this activity with your partner and it will be more enjoyable.
- The Internet is a sea of knowledge and information, and you can read and update yourself on various topics and issues. Try and catch up on subjects that you wished to know but couldn't. Internet surfing will also make you look like you are busy working on your computer. You can even start your own blog to express your thoughts. Also join social networking sites and keep in touch with your old pals.
- Socializing with people at work, having fun with stick notes or erase boards is always a good cure for boredom at work. You can even have group games together on the computer for a change. Office pranks are also great to lighten the office atmosphere. You can also utilize your break time creatively, or eat at different places. You can even head to an interesting place once in a while. This will make life at work exciting.
- One gets bored in class either when one finds the syllabus very easy or very difficult. If you find the syllabus easy, go ahead and read your book further. Try to interact and participate in the classroom activities to avoid boredom.
- You can even take your favorite book to class for reading. Although everyone does not like reading, there is always something for everyone in the library. You can opt for some light reading like novels or works of fiction.
- You can engage in drawing doodles, designs, abstract art, etc. See how far your imagination goes.
- Make a list of 'things to do' or a shopping list.
