Cup of Tea - Poverty
Today I would like you to taste the 'poverty' flavored cup of tea. We all know and understand what is poverty but often fail to offer help. This is my cup of tea of poverty, you could say 'a small trailer from a big movie...'
This is often the condition of poor people
Striving hard for a single meal
Always begging life a good deal!
No good clothes to wear
Roaming on streets bare
With no one to care
When asked for help, we say Beware!
Imagining we being one of them
Goose bumps already to flare
Thanking god, we are spared
But still don't help the poor impaired!
God has blessed us all abundantly
And asked us to share it with love and courtesy
But we seem ignorant by the fact
Even a dying person hardly makes an impact!
God's given Hands that are plenty
Let's join them together in unity
To serve the poor and the needy
Unhooking them from poverty!
