- sc - single crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- sts - stitches
- st - stitch
- rep - repeat
- In the first step, choose any one color of your choice and ch 6 sts initially. This is the foundation row you will be creating.
- Next go back to the first chain and do a dc. Follow this article in case you want to catch on how to double crochet.
- After the dc, ch 2 and rep the entire process for 7 times that too - all into the first chain.
- Do you see 8 spokes of stitches created now? Good! Now you will have to join up the entire 8 spoke circle doing slip stitch crochet into the 3rd chain on the left of your work.
- Next make a sc, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 1, sc and incorporate all these sts into the flower arches you have created earlier.
- This is the basic procedure to create the flower petals. Rep steps 1-5 all over again in all the 8 arches and you have your first crochet flower ready to use.
- Join it with a sl st to the first sc on the first flower petal and cut off the wool.
- The working with the first flower is completed. Now choose the next color to give the crocheted flower a diversity of pretty colors. Form a slip knot and put the crochet hook under the 1st color spoke of the flower and gently draw the second color wool through it.
- What you will see are 2 sts on the hook and you will have to pull the hook to make just one stitch. Next ch 6 and on the next spoke crochet a dc. Again ch 3 and rep the dc and ch 3 on every spoke to create colorful petals.
- Make a sl st into the 3rd chain of the first row and turn your whole project to the right side.
- Slowly pull the first color petals little ahead and begin to crochet sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc on each and every arch.
- Join all of them with a sl st into the first sc and bind off.
