Crimson goes to the catacomes of the family histories with Scary results.
Crimson 5
"Wake up." Someone said softly putting a hand on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and looked into Jordan’s. It was long moments before I found the strength to look away from those sad eyes, but as I got off the low bed he stopped me.
"I know you don’t think it can work, but if you change your mind…" he trailed off and I felt my eyes sting with tears.
"Jordan, I." He walked out of the shed into the damp air and I sat on the bed again my head in my hands.
"I love you." I said softly a single tear falling from my eye.

As Jordan walked up the steps he tried to numb himself to Crimsons heartbeat that was agonizingly slow. Her usual jasmine scent was twice as overpowering today and he didn’t know why. His chest felt like someone had plunged their hand through it and he felt somehow empty. The fact was that he knew it wouldn’t work from the beginning. He had told him self it would be just like Kiriel and Nyx. The urge to jump off the edge of the stairway into one of the lakes on either side was almost overpowering. Maybe then she would know how much he cared about her?
The front entrance was impressive but neither Crimson nor Jordan noticed, they acknowledged the Lord of the manor barely and went to pace around their rooms.

Crimson lent against the bar of the balcony and let a tear trickle down her face she didn’t know how she felt about Jordan, he was a vampire and therefore off limits but she couldn’t help but feel that she should try.
After the sun had gone down she went to the governor and asked him about a clerk.
"I would like to look at the records, if I may." She said.
"Certainly, I think you shall find William to your liking.’ A clerk appeared at his right hand and Crimson thanked the governor before following him. They climbed down to the dry cold catacombs where the documents of birth were kept and crimson forgot Jordan for a second in the anxiety of the walk down the stairs. What if her birth records weren’t here?
"What’s your family name?" William asked and Crimson frowned.
"I don’t know, I was hoping to find out that."
"What can you give me?" he asked.
"My mothers name was Avey." She said and he smiled.
"That’ll be easy there are not many people with that name." He wrote crimson and Avey on a piece of paper and put it on a stone pedestal which seemed to swallow it. William read the cryptic markings on the pedestal and headed off down a tunnel which in turn led to a huge room filled with what looked like walls.
"What is this place?" Crimson asked looking over the huge expanse.
"These are the records." Their voices echoed through the walls carrying back whispers that made Crimson shiver.
"C’mon." William led the way down to the walls and they walked along them until he led her down between two. Crimson looked around the walls looking for a marking of some kind.
She walked into will who was looking at a blank stretch of wall.
"This is it."
"What do you mean?"
"Touch the wall?" Crimson took a small step forward and touched the wall with one finger. Blood blossomed out creating a picture and she stepped back.
"The blood lines." She whispered
Crimson studied the growing family tree until it got to her mother and her father.
"Cain?" Crimson took a step back. "Cain is my father?" not only was she half vampire but her father was the king of the vampires.
"You’re a noble through and through Crimson." William said.
"I…" she ran back the way she’d come and went straight to Jordan’s room.
"Jordan?" she knocked and he stuck his head round the door. "ummm.." she only just remembered how much he must hate her at the moment.
"What is it?" Jordan realized whatever she had to say was important and he couldn’t let her into his room. He came out and closed the door behind him. She took a deep breath but just as she was about to tell him she saw a woman peek her head out his door. She frowned and Jordan turned, when he looked back Crimson was walking away.
"Crimson wait." He ran after her and caught her arm but she pushed him away.
"Get off me."
"But…"
"I don’t care Jordan, You have a right to do what you like." She turned again but he grabbed her and slammed her bodily into the wall. Her eyes widened in fear but she kept her composure.
"What do you want from me Jordan?" She asked, he stared into her eyes.
"You know what I want, you refused me." He said softly.
"You can’t have wanted it that much." Crimson said looking back at the woman who was watching from the doorway.
"You have no idea how much I wanted you, whenever I saw you it would take all my self control not to take you then and there with or without your consent." He paused. "The first time I touched you I thought my head would explode and the first time you kissed me back I felt Dizzy for two days." There was silence for a minuet while Crimson digested this.
"I’m sorry." She said.
"Don’t be, you didn’t know." He traced down the side of her face. "What were you going to tell me?"
"It doesn’t matter."
"It mattered a minuet ago."
"Well it does but..." he looked into her eyes and she felt that she had to tell him."I’m half vampire, Cain is my father." Jordan gathered her into his arms to hide his shock and kissed the top of her head.
"I love you." He said and for some reason this was exactly what Crimson needed to hear.
