Credit Restoration #5 - All Services are Scams

Misconception #5 - All credit restoration services are scams.
Yes, we’ve all heard the stories. A dark alleyway, a seedy figure takes an old woman’s hard earned pension, in exchange for a promise to restore her credit. Or the company that wants to change your identity and wipe your credit clean (illegal, don’t do it). Guess what? It happens. Just like it happens with insurance scams, pensions scams, or investment scams. It happens when people don’t understand something very clearly, so they entrust someone else with it. And a few bad apples can ruin a good thing.

But clearly, credit restoration companies exist, and help hundreds of thousands of people. And because there have been some bad apples along the way, it is a very closely watched industry that has to abide by more laws and regulations than just about any other industry. And if you were to look for credit restoration service to handle repairing your credit report, wouldn’t you want the largest, most looked-over company there is? One that reports all its results every quarter. One that not only follows the strict regulations of the credit restoration industry (FCRA, CROA) but also the strict laws of being part of its state bar (because its a consumer advocacy law firm?) And wouldn’t you want to take advantage of the years of experience of getting past the stall tactics of the credit bureaus because they know what works, and what doesn’t?

If you care at all about your credit, you should check them out.

"My firm was founded to give people a leg up, To bring fairness and humanity to the system. To bring my clients into the system. And, I'd like to think, over the last eighteen years, we've done that." John Heath invites you to check out his firm.
