Creation vs. Evolution

The evolutionist theory is largely spread all over the world. And this is explainable if we recognize the identity of the god of this world: Satan, God’s worst enemy. Satan’s lies get into people’s minds, influencing almost all the intellectual processes, influencing science, psychology, philosophy, sociology and other human preoccupations.

Like the Bible says in Romans 1:25, most people have exchanged God’s truth for devil’s lies, and the evolutionist theories is one of the most sophisticated lies ever. Most people believe in it, in a way or another.

The whole mentality of our society states that the universe has begun spontaneously, through mutations and hazardous transitions. This theory regards man as no different from a worm, or a polyp. So man has no dignity.

Faith in evolutionism is one of Satan’s greatest weapons in his fight against God. In order to avoid the conflict between Genesis and the opposing naturalist theories, many Bible experts have suggested that the first 11 chapters of Genesis, but especially the first three, are rather poetry than chronological history.

Abandoning the literal truth of God’s word in favor of science is the more pathetic the less scientific evolution is. Science cannot prove anything to contradict the idea that the world was created in six days. In addition to that, we have reasons to be deeply suspicious about any human conclusion which clearly contradicts the word of God.

C.S. Lewis presented the absurdity of the evolutionist theory in his book "God in the Dock." He says that if the solar system was brought about by an accidental collision, then the appearance of the organic life on this planet would have been nothing but an accident. If this is how things really are, then all our current thoughts are accidents, the secondary product of the atoms’ movement. The same thing is also valid for the thoughts of the materialists and astronomers, and also for all other people. But if their thoughts are mere accidents, why should we believe them? How could an accident give the correct reenactment of all other accidents?

Then why do so many scientists still go for the evolutionist theory? In the final analysis, the answer is they do it to avoid God, to escape His words, His laws, His standards, His will, His judgment of their lives. They try to discredit the word of God because they love darkness due to the evilness of their actions (John 3:19).

The chapter Romans 1, starting with verse 18, shows the consequences of willingly rejecting God and his words: "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness." We can see all throughout the Bible that God shows such zeal for truth, like in the Gospel of John, for instance, truth is mentioned even more than twenty times.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ tells us, in John 14:6, that He is the truth and praying to the Father (scripture 17) he said: "Thy word is the truth." Unfortunately, we stifle this truth on our own account. Back to Romans 1, scripture 19 says: "since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them." God did this by endowing men with reason, with the ability to combine things in order to draw the right conclusion.

Reason can bring man back to God, unless he refuses to be guided by reason. Creation is not the meant to lead us back to the primordial soup, but to bring us back to God, to show us something about God’s way of thinking, not about some hazardous, imaginary evolutionist process. Any such perspective, even the progressive creationism or the theist evolutionism, contradict God’s intention to manifest His great power within creation.

This intention of God’s is clearly expressed in Romans 1:20, which says: "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." Our God-given reason can lead us to God. There’s no other option, if we are true to ourselves, reasonable in our thinking, willing to apply our own sense of reason.
