Crazy Little Thing Called Love - 4

More about the girl's second meeting with the rock star!
Signe
I kept my eyes on Dougie as I finished loading the last pieces of meat into the bucket, whilst I was figuring out what the heck I could say to him. A huge part of me wanted to say okay, let's get to know each other, but a small part of me held me back, I mean, why me?
For all I know, he could be shagging a different supermodel every night, but an even smaller part of me said that he wasn't like that. I gave him another "elevator look", I could clearly see that he was shitty nervous just by how he couldn't stand still, and I finally decided to listen to the majority part of myself, but still with caution of course.

-"So, what did you have in mind?" I asked, flashing him a little awkward smile, and immediately I could see his whole face light up. I lifted the now pretty heavy bucket of meat up of the floor and struggled to carry it to the farthest cage in the building where some of the tigers were now very excited to get some food.
Halfway there an arm came into my view and reached for the bucket, I looked to my left to see Dougie leaning in to help me carry the bucket.
-"Well, I could help you feed the tigers and then on your break I could buy you lunch in the food court" He said smiling, as he put down the bucket.

-"I guess I could use an extra hand with the feeding now that you so kindly offer" I smiled, showing him how to put the meat into the cage where a rather large female tiger walked around, growling and showing her teeth.
-"How come these tigers aren't outside with the rest?" Dougie asked, gently putting the meat on the metal tray and shoved it through a little door in the cage, then jumping slightly as the tiger viciously grabbed the meat and walked to the corner to eat.
-"Well, this beauty is pregnant, almost ready to give birth, so we have her in here to monitor her when the cubs come, and so is the one over there" I said, pointing towards another large tiger a few cages down.

Dougie nodded in understanding and I took him outside to the place where we would feed the rest of the tigers. I showed him how to throw the meat over the fence into different places; meanwhile he asked me questions about me.
-"So err, how long have you been into animals?" Dougie asked, throwing another lump of meat into the hungry tigers.
-"I've always loved animals, especially these wonderful beings, so it was obvious that I wanted to make a career out of it" I said, looking at the tigers eating happily on the other side of the fence.
-"They have a way of calming me down, so if I get upset or sad, I come out here, just sitting, watching them, you know?" I turned my head to look at Dougie and found him completely focused on the tigers, but I simply smiled, cuz I knew the effect that these creatures had on people.

Dougie
I was so totally awestruck with these big cats that I vaguely heard Signe talk and I didn't snap out of it, until I noticed out of the corner of my eye, that Signe was staring at me.
I turned my head and for a brief moment we just stood there, gazing into each other's eyes, not caring how dumb we must look in front of other people.
As if in some kind of trance, I took a step forward, towards her, then another, now our faces were just inches away from each other, I could tell what was coming next, and apparently so could Signe. She looked down and stuttered.

-"So, err, where's, where's the other band members?" she looked around, trying not to look me in the eyes. My head shot up, I'd completely forgotten about them, but looking around, there were no weird looking old men in sight, they'd probably gotten tired of waiting and walked off somewhere.
-"Err, they err, should be around here somewhere" I said, not wanting to say that they should have been out here, waiting for me to come back.

-"Well, I'll just finish up here, then I'll be on my break and you are welcome to buy me some food" Signe said, smiling, finally looking at me before walking back to the building.
I went after her and waited outside for a few minutes until she came back out and we began walking towards the food court. When we got there we quickly found a free table, and then I got up and bought us some food, but as I went to sit back down, something caught my eye.
It was the guys along with Signe's friend from the concert, they sat down at a table and started to talk quietly together, I sat down myself thinking what they might be talking about, since I couldn't hear them.

After I sat down, I took another quick glance over at the guys, but Signe noticed and moved her head to find out what I was staring at.
She recognized her friend, stood up and shouted her name Ness, much to my regret. Ness looked over and smiled, saying something to the guys and they all stood up and came over, even more to my regret.
-"Hey Doug, didn't see you there mate" Danny said with his stupid Bolton accent, no it's not really stupid, but I was pretty annoyed that they couldn't have left me and Signe alone and now they are gonna mess this whole thing up for sure.

I merely smiled at him and turned my attention back to Signe, but she had of course started chit chatting with Ness, so typical girls. I tried getting her attention, but then Danny of course, the moron that he is, had to ask Signe one specific question, I tried to stop him, but no such luck.
-"So Signe, tell me something, how come you blew off our Douglas last night?" 'Don't get me wrong, I did actually wanted to know, but it wasn't supposed to happen like this' I thought to myself, watching Signe.

Signe looked startled and it took her a minute to pull herself together, but before she could answer, Ness had gotten up and began to pull me out of my chair and drag me away.
-"What the, hey what are you doing?" I gasped with surprise.
-"Come here, I wanna talk to you about something" she answered and I finally gave in and walked away from the table, looking back I saw the guys sitting around Signe, all looking serious while talking and Signe looked a little uncomfortable. Oh god what were they talking to her about?...
