Courtney Love has confirmed plans to auction off most of her late husband Kurt Cobain’s belongings.

Love, 42, told Spinner.com, "I’m going to have a Christie’s auction. [My house] is like a mausoleum." She went on to say, "My daughter doesn’t need to inherit a giant Hefty bag of flannel f*ing shirts. A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to ‘[Smells Like] Teen Spirit’ – that’s what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we’ll just f*ing sell." Love and Cobain, the frontman for Nirvana, were married in 1992 and later that year she gave birth to their only child, Frances Bean, who is now 14. Cobain killed himself in 1994 and Love has never remarried.

She now says that she is unable to move past his death and hopes that selling his belongings will help her. Love said, "I still wear his pajamas to bed. How am I ever going to go form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt’s pajamas?" Love claims that everyone seems to be supportive of her decision and said, "Everyone’s been positive and behind me on it. We’ll make a lot of money and give a bunch of it to charity." No word yet on where the auction will take place or how much of the proceeds will go to charity.

Love has recently been trying to get her life together. She has lost a bunch of weight, begun eating more healthfully, and has been sober for over a year. She wrote in her blog, "All I care about is that my self esteem is [limitless] and intact, and that nothing and no situation effects my self esteem." She is currently working on a new album Nobody’s Daughter which deals with the her past relationships with Cobain, actor Edward Norton, Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, and a recent unnamed beau. The album is due out later this year.
