Let me share an experience with you so that you can really understand what exactly is Corporate Housing. I had to shift base when I got my first job, the city I was shifted to was absolutely new for me, there was none who was in the least, even familiar. Moving to such a place for nothing less than a year was quite a dissociating thought. I reached this city at sometime around seven in the morning; straight took a cab to the branch office though I knew nobody would be in that early in the morning, to top it all it was a Sunday but to my surprise, as soon as I informed at the reception that I have arrived, they asked one of the office attendants to take me to the "Company Guest House". It was well-furnished bungalow with all the amenities and I could stay there for a month so that I could arrange for my lodging in the meantime. Wait, wait, wait!!!!!!!!

Yes, Corporate Housing is not necessarily the same but is somewhat on these lines. It is something that the company "might" not offer but the private agencies dealing with property do offer a special service called the Corporate Housing that is especially planned to provisionally accommodate people who have come for work for a short period of time.

Corporate Housing: Types and Location

There are separate dwelling places, which come in a wide range: it can be a luxury suite in a five star hotel to an apartment, of course completely furnished with access to all the basic amenities and more. Location wise also you have an option of either living in the heart of the city so that you can avoid the problems of commuting from the place you are staying to the place you are working; or otherwise living in a place a little far from the city but then away from all the din. Most of the people prefer staying in the city, as they want to avoid traveling much in unknown cities. In big cities it is a challenge to find a decent accommodation for one but then it is true that finding corporate housing is comparatively easier.

Corporate Housing: Advantages

Corporate Housing has many advantages over a hotel or an inn, in terms of environment and utilities, which are as follows:

• In terms of cost, the money spent in case of corporate housing is much more, in fact considerably much higher than other private housing options, but it is worth the investment since it includes as much utilities and other services also. If analyzed properly it will be found that the cost of corporate housing is almost negligible if compared to the option of leasing an accommodation for a long-term for a guest who will love there for a short span of time. Moreover corporate housing is also furnished and housekeeping service is also available in most of the cases.
• The condition of living in a corporate housing is far more superior to living in a hotel for working people because after a long, tiring day everybody needs his own space and a home like environment which is impossible to get in an enclosed hotel room, even suite. Executive scan relax and do things as and how they want, if accompanied by children and family, they can spend quality time with them like in home. So business doesn’t seem like business anymore. They can live there, cook their own food if they want to avoid eating outside.
• These people can also have guest in the corporate housing and hold meeting in the house as well away from the strenuous environment of office.

Corporate housing is usually provided by real estate agencies and other property rental business holders as well. There are many extended-stay hotels and suites as well, which usually publicize themselves and their suitability as corporate housing, looking at their popularity. There are many private property owners as well who want to offer their homes as corporate housing since there is more money in this trade and the occupants do not stay for long, hence there is more money in a short period of time. It is becoming a potential source of earning money as and how Industrialization and expansion is catching up at all the places of the world, which needs extensive traveling.
